Last minute booking due to massive snowfalls in other locations. Our room was very spacious with tatami matting and the beds were comfortable. The toilet is shared. The bath house is tiny and is really only a place to shower. Close to ski resort but definitely not ski to door as advertised. We paid for a shuttle to the train station when we left, which was great because conditions were apalling. There was so much snow everywhere.

Toilet and shower are shared with other guests. Our room was clean, but hallways, stairs and bathroom were not clean. Breakfast was awful and there was no dinner served when we stayed.

On a positive note, the staff were kind and did their best to be accommodating, but unfortunately, their efforts couldn’t make up for the overall state of the place. With some much-needed improvements, this could be a far more enjoyable stay, but in its current condition, I wouldn’t choose to return.

While I understand that the lower price reflects the accommodation standard, I was quite disappointed with my stay at Snow House Memory. The property is extremely run-down and in desperate need of maintenance. Cleanliness was a major issue, with the only exception being the sheets, which, thankfully, were fresh.
