[PORTA NUOVA] Modern Apartment in the Center - 4

The property is very beautiful, clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location. Communication with the owner was outstanding, and we had no problems at all. Truly all praise for this property 😍

I liked the location as it was very close to the main city centre. Shops were closed by as well as the grocery store if you needed snacks and stuff. The booking experience was very well organised in terms of communication. But otherwise missing some personal touch. But I assume most of the apartments are operated by some agency. The apartment was nice enough and clean. 1 hour to Milan on the fast service by train. 1 hour by bus to Sarnico from the bus station.

A few things: 1: the apartment is not well made with the floors and front door. You can hear everyone as they walk up the stairs. 2: the wooden floor upstairs is so badly made that we could hear the people upstairs banging and stumping their feet. 3: the toilet seat was broken but manageable. But there was like a mold smell in the bathroom area. 4: I asked the owner for some advise about public transport during public holidays but was told they don’t know. Assuming contacts are not local. So research what you need as you will not get local support. 2 days we had very loud music until 2 am where we could hear the guys singing and making noises. But since no one is around, there is no one to complain to. So I guess it was just bad timing. Also beware that many immigrants in the local area specially near the bus station at night time and some may ask you for money in the streets. Overall if you are not easily disturbed by the noise and you are going to Bergamo to have some fun, then location is perfect.

Big, clean apartament and near the centre

The appartment is located in the center of the New City, it is 10 Minutes to funicular by foot. The location is surrounded with beuatiful buildings, churches, shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a big Carefour Supermarkt in the Shopping (not Coin, another one) center on the ground floor, there is everything what you need for cooking. There was great food and cultural european festival at the streets near the location. Traveltrainpunkt is also near, busstop to the airport - 5 minutes by foot. At the same time it was very quite, not noisy. Very good sound isolation in the appartment. The appartment is very clean (everything and everywhere, smells good) and well new. There is may be not too much cutlery, but enough. Host Davide is very friendly and can help with anything easily, answered very quick per Whats App.

May be one more set of cups, 1-2 knifes, 1-2 spatulas - I can recommend to make the appartment total perfect.

Location

Limited on some kitchen stuff, very basic. No oil, no extra kitchen rag, however, enough for short stay. A bit noisy depending which neighbors you have.

The location is great. It is very clean and well equipped. We received good directions from the owner. We stayed only one night.

It would be great if there were slippers available. The sofa bed is not very comfortable, so Im not sure if it would be cozy enough for 4 ppl for more than 1 night.

Close to the city center, only 10-15 minutes by foot to the old town (a must see) and train station (and shuttle bus is also over there). The host explained everything correct and responded to my messages quickly
