CHEZ KIKI & MIMI

This was a very basic property that worked well for us. We were gone all day exploring and so we weren't in the room very long. The bed was fine. The kitchen was very small and we just had a small breakfast there in the mornings. There were a few grocery stores in Mahina that were open at 5am. We would get a baguette and some yogurt every morning. The apartment itself was small. There was not room for a couch. And so it is a difficult place to sit and relax at. So we would sit on the bed or at the kitchen table. The view on the balcony was wonderful! We saw whales breach out in the ocean on one day. And the sunrise was beautiful. The bathroom is small, but it works. Everything was tight and compact, and the space was used well.

It would've been nice to have a few more dishes so that we wouldn't have to wash up after every meal.

Very nice and caring host. Really liked staying there with the feeling in mind, that i would get help if needed. Also the view was nice...if lucky,, you will see whales.

Mimi and Christian have treated me like a member of their family. They picked me up at tbe airport at night, they have offered me rides to the shopping center and to Papeete and they even invited me for a Saturday evening family dinner. Furthermore, they were always available for some help, a chat or any advice. I found myself at home at their well located and well provided room, right in front of the ocean in the middle of this paradisiac island. I already miss the sound of. The waves by night, and Mimi's and Christian's company. Maaruru roa, Mimi!

Having to leave :-(

a wonderful apartment (much more than in the photos) with an exceptional view of the ocean, equipped with everything you need and elegantly furnished, in a quiet but not isolated location, from which you can walk to the nearest supermarket (a half-hour walk); the beginning of the Papenoo Valley (an extraordinary excursion destination), the beach, and by bus (the bus stop is literally in front of the apartment) any other destination in Tahiti. This would be enough to make the stay perfect: in reality what made my stay even more beautiful was meeting a person like Mimì. Always available and open to establishing a friendly relationship but also discreet, ready to understand the needs of her guests and to help for anything, sunny, kind, she has the ability to make you feel at home. I will miss this place: I know that there are people ready to welcome me from the heart, if I were to return to Tahiti.
