"DE BANK" - Hotel Apartments

De Bank is in a great location in Harlingen, you can park your car right in front of the hotel (if you are lucky) and it is beautifully furnished. The apartment was modern, well equipped and rather quiet. We had a good time here and will be coming back, albeit to a different apartment in the same complex (see 'negative').

We were told how and where to retrieve our key cards upon arrival, but they had not been prepared as promised. After a phone call and a short waiting time, someone arrived and handed us the cards so we could enter our 'superior apartment' (Dollar). Apart from the master bedroom, the apartment had two single beds that were just mattresses lying on the floor in a crawlspace up a ladder. This is, of course, not shown on any photo. While the kitchen had plenty of crockery, cutlery etc., there was no pepper, salt, and other things for daily use you usually get in pricier apartments (this is not a big problem, just good to know). The apartment was clean except for a few hairs on the bathroom and kitchen walls, there was also some grease on the shower head.

Very new and clean. Nice location and we can park close by. The bed is very comfortable.

The heater is difficult to adjust and it was too cold. We couldn’t cast from our phone to the tv. We asked via message on booking.com, but there was no reply.

This place turned out to be exactly how I saw it in the photos - comfy, warm, clean, spacious. It’s near the shopping street and not far from grocery shops and, of course, the sea. Also, you can cook almost anything with the provided kitchen facilities (all sorts of pans and pots, a toaster and an egg cooker) and the bath is one love ❤️ two people can easily fit in.

If you’re planning on cooking, make sure you take the cutlery with you and slippers as they are not provided (for the sanitary reasons probably)

I had seen the pictures on Booking.com and I thought that the place was very nice and romantic. Though when we got in, it was actually better than the pics. We had a "room", so called. Though it was very big, actually and apartment. Everything was super clean and there was a Disney+ account. Huge TV, both in the bedroom and livingroom. The couch was wonderful. Kitchen was fully equipped. Perfect.

easy to book, easy to check in and out. Room spotless and well equiped. Couldn't be better. I've been coming to the area for work since 2016 and stayed in many places. "DeBank" is by far the best stay in the whole area.

Parking was a little bit of a lottery, using the app to pay was easy but finding a place close in the evening not so easy. Not withing DeBank's control.
