"Comfy beds.. but otherwise would not recommend at all"

4.0

Comfy beds, location close to train station and within walking distance from the shops and beach. Plenty of room in the house for us all (family of 5).

On walking into the property through the front door straight into the kitchen there was instant distinct smell of urine. we were unsure what the source of this smell. During the first night the property was extremely cold. There were storage heaters and 2 portable oil heaters, as well as an open fire - but this made no difference during our first night. We were given logs, coal and firelighters for the fire....but nothing to light it with! The dining table was located at the back of the property in a conservatory which was very very cold, and having to walk through the living area and bedroom was not ideal, neither was sitting in the evening in a cold room to have our supper (hence we then sat by the coffee table to eat the remainder of our meals - not ideal with 3 kids). This conservatory was so damp and cold that there were a number of woodlice. The door of the bathroom was a sliding door which was difficult to open and close, especially for our children. All of our issues were raised with the letting company, who replied to say they would investigate and get back to us the following day...they didn't. I had to chase, but by the time I received replies we had come home. I then received a phone call to address my issues, but am yet again to get a reply nearly a week later. I would not recommend this property to anyone for it's facilities.

"Great but was bit cold"

8.0

Kitchen was very good it was well stocked with good quality items. Lovely fire in livingroom Beds were comfy Disabled access and wetroom was helpful for my daughter. Had everything you needed We enjoyed our time there

It was freezing first 2 nights. The conservatory was raw also going out to washing machine in the garage was freezing There was 2 oil radiators provided which were ok and the electric heaters but we were still very cold the open fire warmed livingroom up but outside tgat room it was freezing. It wouldn't be a problem in the summer I guess Shower wasn't powerful and wasn't very hot but it was ok No hot water from taps in kitchen all time we was there and water flow is slow. There i was an Old man next door who kept watching us from his window everytime we pulled up to the property staring at my disabled daughter we just ignored it but wasn't pleasant for us. Garden was unusable all the fence was blown down and it needs maintenance. Bathroom door is broken we was worried of opening and closing it. Place could do with proper clean we brought our own hoover and hovered all the Cobwebs around the ceiling. We saw Under the bed was thick with dust after my daughter dropped her toy under there. Overall if issues sorted it would be wonderful place to stay.

"It was a pleasant experience but tarnished by the front door situation and hot water."

7.0

The location was amazing and the view was fantastic. It was spacious, clean and tidy. The kitchen was fully stocked to a high standard. The fridge was in excellent condition as was the cooker and other appliances. It was a nice touch that we were given milk and Welsh cakes as a welcome gift. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen was to an excellent standard. The lounge was relaxing and well sized. The sunroom on the back of the property was lovely and very useful especially with kids, but could do with some blinds.

The front door handle broke off as we tried to enter the property. Therefore, we telephoned an emergency number for Finest Retreats. They were very helpful and kept us updated about the situation. However, we had to wait 3 days before a locksmith could come. We had to enter via the garage door which was rusty and sticking. We did not have any hot water from the taps for our entire stay. However, the shower worked and was very good. The outside of the property requires maintenance and an upgrade. We would consider staying again in the future as long as an upgrade has been carried out. We were compensated for the unfortunate inconvenience.

"Comfortable , home from home."

9.0

Location. Views. Well stocked kitchen. Disabled accessible.

Bathroom door appears to be broken, not sliding open and closed , kept sticking unable to close properly. A full length mirror in one of the rooms would be useful .

"Great location but needs some time and care on the property."

6.0

Location was good. Quiet estate within easy drive between Barmouth and Harlech. Small rear garden that was fenced and not overlooked. Very clean bedding and towels. Fully adapted for disabled use. Good supply of kitchen utensils. Nice touch supplying a small carton of milk on arrival. Good wifi.

Front garden overgrown. Back garden very overgrown to the point it was a hazard stepping off the patio area. Was not safe for my dog and would certainly not be safe for small children. Overall the property was clean but a few issues let it down especially the very dirty extractor fan in the bathroom, cobwebs, grease on kitchen tiles.
