Nous avons apprécié la plage au bout du jardin, la proximité du village et des commodités. Nous avons surtout été heureux de partager la vie d'une famille tahitienne, leur gentillesse, et le partage d'un repas typiquement polynésien (fafaru)

Ich habe 4 Tage im Haus der gastfreundlichen Familie gewohnt und durch den Kontakt mit der Familie tolle Einblicke in das Leben auf der ruhigen kleinen Insel bekommen. Ein schöner kleiner Strand liegt direkt vor der Haustür und der Hauptort Fare ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Um die Insel zu erkunden ist ein Mietwagen von Vorteil. Wer es authentisch mag und keinen Luxus benötigt, ist hier richtig.

Meri Lodge offers two bungalows, one behind the main house away from the beach and one below the main living area, both separate and private from the family. We stayed in "Marta's Room", sharing the living space upstairs with the most delightful family one can imagine. We shared their space, cooking facilities, plates, cutlery, washing machine and veranda from which one had a grand view of the lagoon and sunset. Marta's room had a fridge, coffee machine, bath, shower and a comfortable double bed. We had access to a relaxing area in a back garden, a kayak, a white sand beach with a coral garden for good snorkelling especially to the north beyond the woodland.It is a 10 minute walk along the beach. The fish were not large nor numerous, but varied in species and the coral on the rocks were colourful. Meri Lodge is a 5-10 minute walk to the Yacht club into Fare, the main village of Huahine. There is a good Super U there and the ferry comes in from either Moorea or Ra'iatea, depending on the day. It is very hard to ask for a better experience, or a better location. Materirea (the owner) and Gisele manage everything together. They helped us immediately when we ran into a problem and needed a medical clinic. We cannot thank them or praise them enough. A car is available for hire if needed. We spent a day driving the island, and it was well worth it!

La promiscuité avec la famille, nous vivions au milieu de leur périmètre, 1 couple , 2 enfants en bas âge dont un 1 an, et 2 chiens et les invités ,donc on vivait au rythme des cris du petit et aboiement chiens et des crottes qui restaient plusieurs jours, le jeune chien a mangé ma semelle de basket ( logeurs ne s’en sont pas souciés), nous voyageons beaucoup avec vous et Airbnb et jamais nous n’avons vécu cette experience , on a l’impression de se retrouver en Angleterre où les gens louent une chambre aux jeunes venant apprendre l’anglais pour boucler les fins de mois, la description est erronée c’est chambre ds bazarre , escalier pour accès très pentu et j’en passe

Location was fantastic. You can rent car/scooter from the property. Free bikes and a double glass bottom kayak. Sunset view from outdoor dining area. Relaxing deck chairs on property right at beach. Good coffee provided. Free bottled water also. No Roosters to wake you up at crazy hours.😊

Window insect screens need replacing although we didn’t have any bug issues while we stayed in the Room. Wish they would consider replacing the bookshelf with a screen that blocks the toilet. This would lift the quality of the room.

Location just in front of a beach and within 10 mn walk from town center. Room had AC and a fan, a big comfortable bed, microwave, kettle, shower and toilet. Shuttle from airport provided at additional cost. Room located on the first floor of the property. Use of the family’s kitchen and washing machine is possible. Friendly family to talk to.

There are mosquitoes. The toilet/shower are separated from the rest of the room by a bookshelf only.
