Relaxing 3-room Apartment with yard pool, Near Santana Row-No Party-

+ Best customer service I've ever had. Shoko is a great host, responding in the matter of minutes and taking care of your needs in a best possible way. + The house was very clean, everything was polished and washed, it was fully equipped with what you may need. From kitchen equipped with all kinds of stuff for cooking to bathroom with soft towels and great nice-smelling cosmetics. + The house is big and it's a good price-to-space ratio. Also - great location regarding Santana Row.

- You're not alone there. Although the offer doesn't necessarily state that you rent the house all for yourself, it doesn't state the possibility of running into other people there either. The house is yours but be prepared to share the garden, pool and BBQ with other people living there. The windows coming out on the shared space don't have proper blindfolds so it is also a matter of privacy that you won't fully have since anyone can see inside through big clear windows. - If it's cold or hot outside, prepare to share bed with co-workers / friends. 2 of 4 beds were unusable since they are placed in a sunroom-ish room that is an add-on to the house and not a proper room. It was build with very thin walls so not only you hear every car passing by, sounds of water and neighborhood but also if it's cold outside (which it was when we were there) it's impossible to sleep there due to low temperatures. It's also not connected to the heating system so you can't make it hotter (even with the small electric radiator stored in the cupboard there).

The location was good, a 15 minute walk to restaurants

The property is a residential bungalow with a garden and pool BUT There is also a wooden summer house which people live in and an apartment attached to the house that people live in so everybody can use the garden or come and go and it is not private at all. This is not stated when using Booking.com to make the booking. Upon arriving, we were extremely disappointed as we booked the house to use the pool and Garden for tanning and to swim, but not only was it not private but the pool was very murky and when we complained, we were told it was because it was “hot in California” and that people don’t book the house to use the pool! But only for sightseeing, When we complained that there was nowhere on the booking about the other people living on the property we were told that Booking.com do not let the owner add this information and that this is common practise in California so not a problem! But it really was a problem for us. The beds although quite comfortable were squeaky and on cheap frames, There is a conservatory or sunroom with a couple of beds in there but it gets very hot during the day and doesn’t have sufficient blinds or curtains so it’s very bright in the morning we didn’t want to sleep in there. the house was obviously a once loved beautiful home but it is in need of proper maintenance. It’s a bit unloved and grubby. The property is 15 minute walk to the nearest restaurants of Santana Row.

Host was readily available. Ample space in bedrooms with comfy beds and choice of pillows - exactly as pictures. Living room space and dining space. Shower pressure is brilliant. The kitchen is fully equipped however, we ordered out. The pool is lovely and petite garden area. The area is very quiet. There is a tenant literally on the doorstep but he's very respectful of the space and was very mindful when we used the pool as I mentioned to him that we are a modest family and got the villa with a pool to be able to enjoy freely. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Everything was great. If I want to nitpick, I'd say the sofa could be updated but it was comfy enough for a few days.

Location was excellent. The neighborhood felt safe, and everything was easy to access.

• The pool was very dirty when we arrived, but it was promptly cleaned after notifying the owner. • The backyard is shared with other tenants, which wasn’t clearly stated in the listing. Because of this, the windows facing that area should have proper curtains to ensure privacy. • The dishes were mismatched, giving an impression of careless furnishing. • The bed linens could be better—they’re made of synthetic materials and don’t feel breathable or comfortable. • The third bedroom isn’t really a proper sleeping area. It’s more like a summer room, with an unpleasant smell and no air conditioning.

The neighborhood is family friendly, and easy to find. The home is open and attractive. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Lovely landscaping, and the back yard is a good place to relax and visit. Our host was gracious, and quick to respond when we had needs or questions.

There was nothing we didn't like! We could have used a couple more towels, though there is a washer and dryer, so we didn't suffer! And, it took us a beat to figure out the stove and oven, but only because they are new and fancy.
