SIThe only notable advantage would be the cheap cost considering the good location but please consider paying twice as much for a normal hotel instead.
The room stinked of cat urine. It was unbearable and had no ventilation of any kind. I called the office and they ended up telling me to go to another room. But it was already taken! So, after an embarrassing conversation with people staying there I ended up calling the hotel again and got yet another room. This one didn't stink but it was smaller, horribly dusty (especially the unremovable curtains) and had basically no noise isolation so we had a sleepable bed but had to listen to drunk people and early morning workers instead of being able to take a normal night's sleep.
GBThe location was fantastic. Within 5 minute walking distance of everything in the city and easy to get to public transport and tourist attractions. The shower was good and little bottles of shampoo were provided along with clean towels and a bar of soap. The bed was very comfy.
Unlike the photos, this room did not have windows and was poorly ventilated, which was a surprise when we arrived. The toilet was also clogged and dirty on our arrival, however, Lydia did an amazing job and worked hard (despite us arriving at 7pm) to unclog it and it was useable in about an hour. The small kitchen (true to photos) had no brush or sponge to do washing up. Pillows were non-existent and unfortunately due to the hairdressers below we were woken by heavy base music after a late night. Additionally, walls were thin and could hear music from surrounding bars and neighbours into the early hours (bring ear plugs). The wifi also did not reach the bed and you needed to stand in the doorway to receive any connection. The password provided did not match the information booklet and so we used our data for the whole stay.
PTThe bed was fine.
In the description of the bedroom it says it doesn't have a view, when it should be precise and say it doesn't have a window. And the toilet didn't flush well, so we had to use public toilets.
GBThe location
1) we arrived at 4:30pm - check in is from 3pm. When we arrived our room was not clean from the previous guests, the manager of the property was there with her friend and they explained that there had been a last minute problem with the cleaners and they were cleaning our room next. They asked us to leave and when we would return it would be clean. I noted that the toilet was blocked (faeces) and that the water was rising - told the manager of this. We were asked if we wanted a milkshake for our inconvenience. I asked if we were able to change rooms because I also noted that the room we were allocated had NO WINDOW - not mentioned in the booking description, also had a shared kitchen. When I stated that it was basically a hostel - the manager advised that this was all in the description of the accommodation- ITS NOT. We weren’t able to change rooms because they were fully booked. NOTE TO EVERYONE - THE PROPERTY IS NOT APPROPRIATELY DESCRIBED. 2) my mum sent previous reviews showing that the cleaning issue is not a once off issue - it’s happened on multiple occasions - not happy. 3) when we came back to our room (7:50pm) I noted that there were no towels. I called the number (8:02pm) and a man picked up and advised that he would drop some towels off in 15-20mins. We waited 45minutes before I tried calling again - he didn’t answer any of my calls. My husband called and the man answered - when asked when he was dropping off the towels the man became agitated and said that he didn’t live in Galway and so it would take him longer and we could come to him if we wanted towels. When I asked him why he said he would be here in 15-20minutes, thirty minutes ago he yelled down the phone again that I could come pick up the towels then hung up on us. NOT HAPPY. He eventually dropped the towels off about 30minutes after this - no apologies though. 4) the pillows were 3cm thick bits of concrete. 5) the water in the toilet continued to rise whenever it was used.
IEThe location was excellent! The staff were lovely.
As the apartment was located above a hairdressers, the music from the salon woke both of us up at 8 o’clock in the morning. Parts of the apartment were not cleaned and there was a smell coming from the bathroom when we arrived.

When I arrived the room was not clean. The owner answered on the phone even after 5pm. When i came back everything was fixed. Happy ending! 😊 (Note: the photo is not representative of the room)
