Castleford Stay, Families & Work Trips at Liquorice Lodge

Place was exactly how it was described. Close to family which was the purpose of our visit.

Stairs were quite steep but very common in UK houses so now issue to us

We enjoyed our stay and everything at liquorice lodge other than the noisy surrounds and steep staircase and front step.

Property was in a great location and easy to find, had everything we needed

Walls were very thin so could hear the neighbours alot, was conscious about making too much noise ourselves. The stairs were very steep and a few had carpet tacks poking through so you got a bit of a pinch

Really nice accommodation for working away from home. The host was really helpful with a few hiccups along the way.

Good location and easy to park. Rooms great size.

A little difficult to get the tv to work - but that might just have been me! Also not why we stayed so not really a problem.

Very nice, modern house with excellent facilities in a great location with easy access to many locations in and around the Castleford area.

We loved our stay, the property was immaculate and was very modernised and to a high standard, the property owners couldn’t have had better communication with us. We loved our stay thanks again!

Friendly host, lots of check ins. Nicely decorated, cute vibe. Good value. Nice kitchen in particular. Dog friendly.

Bed was pretty uncomfortable, soft/thin/saggy mattress. Listed as "2 bed with parking" but it is just street parking. Several times we got the only spot available on the street so if you came with 2 cars or got unlucky there might not be parking. Stairs are very steep which was fine for us but if you have any mobility challenge or young kids that might be tough. Walls with neigbours are quite thin.

Liquorice lodge was lovely and comfortable, beds were soft (not what I’m used to but comfortable all the same), everything was up to date and fresh. We travelled as two families and the kids were happy with the house too.

No washing machine. It’s in the description but definitely worth highlighting so that you know to pack enough to last the stay.

The house is very comfy, homely and extremely clean. We got parked easily every day and the street was very quiet. We were visiting family near by so the location was great, however the house is close to Escape where there was lots of activities for kids and grown up kids. We went back again for another go on the VR games and go karting. Lots of lovely villages and walks near by. We ran out of time but will definitely rebook. Loved the Yorkshire artwork.
