Flat 7 EIA House

Die Lage ist sehr gut, Bushaltestelle zur Fahrt in die Stadt vor dem Haus. Parkplatz auch gleich in der EIA Street gefunden direkt neben dem Haus. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr gut.

In der Wohnung, besonders im Schlafzimmer ist ein unangenehmer Geruch. Das Bad und die Küche könnten sauberer sein. Couch im Wohnzimmer durchgesessen.

The 72 steps up to our room with 20kg suitcases. The information booklet needs updating drastically. Taxi fares have increased and new bus station opened to get airport bus from.

Great location near to transport links and cafes/shops/pizza place. Flat was comfortable and host very informative and responsive

Bed not the comfiest

The flat is comfortable to be in and was clean and tidy. I liked having space to move around and sit and watch TV in a living room not just be confined to a hotel room. The shower was surprisingly powerful bearing in mind it's a top floor flat which was a bonus. The co-op store is literally one minute walk and has enough supplies to provide for breakfasts and snacks. Even better there is a wine shop opposite which has a huge range of alcoholic beverages if needed. The bus stops are also directly outside which made getting into the city easy and it's only about 10 minutes to the last stop which is directly opposite City Hall, meaning it was a good place to navigate around from. For example, the tourist information office is a 2 minute walk from the stop - walk towards the open top bus tour stops and you'll get to it. They have free maps and were very helpful, particularly highlighting attractions which are free if you're on a budget.

The lock box for the keys was very tricky to open and it took several tries before I managed it which was frustrating. The entrance hall/landings reminded me of my eldest son's university digs - unkempt with bikes chained to the stairs and piles of recycling outside some of the flats. It's not a welcoming entrance to the flat. As others have commented, there are a lot of stairs to climb to the top floor so be mindful of this if you've had a Guiness or two. The flat is on a busy main road and I found it very noisy at night trying to sleep. The information provided is out of date - 2017 what's on in Belfast for example. The bus fares and location of the stop back are also not current so keeping this up to date would be more help to visitors not familiar with the city. More information about where to go and recommendations for food and drink would have been nice.

The amazing apartment is the mansard (upper floor) of a nice old building. You have a roof window with shutters just above the bed - incredible for waking up in the morning. The bedroom and living room are comfortable. The windows do not face the main street, so it's quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is packed to prepare food (stove, microwave, fridge). There is a Coop just on the next block. And the host is helpful and welcoming!

It could be helpful to have lids for pans to prepare food on the stove tidier and a small shelf or a hook in the bathroom. A slight downside - it is a bit distant from the center, but there is a bus stop just downstairs.

The host was very receptive and made us feel free to send him a message and ask any questions we had. The house is very warm, very good. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils. The internet works very well and the bed is very comfortable.

When we arrived, the house smelled clean, with a strong bleach smell. As time went by, the smell of the product disappeared, but an uncomfortable smell of sewage remained in the air, especially in the room next to the bathroom. But the curious thing is that the bathroom didn't have that smell as much; it was more in the bedroom. The shower stall overflowed a little when I took a shower. They need to clean the drain. There must be a lot of accumulated hair. They could have a shelf in the bathroom so that we could at least put a toiletry bag on. For those with reduced mobility, be careful because there are about 4 or 5 flights of stairs to get to the apartment.

Nice space for self catering stay. Up a few flights of stairs if you're not mobile. Not too far from city centre, bus stop outside. All local amenities literally outside. Comfy bed, cosy living area ideal kitchen. Great comms from host, all round great stay. All round good stay.
