"La Cascina" Bed & Breakfast

Incredible beatiful house, a little outside of the city, but you can walk to the lake in a few minutes. The big bedrooms is tastefully furnished and the bed is one of the most comfortable (and big!) I ever slept in in Italy. Also, everything was really clean. The big terrace is absolutely amazing, we loved to sit there in the evening. The kitchen is not for use for the guests, but there is an inexpensive breakfast where you can choose from different options and that is served so nice from the host. We had a great time here and would recommend this place!

Pleasant, quiet facility.

Uncovering the bed on the left side just before 10:30 pm, I discovered that the bedding was very filthy (upper linen bearing large stains of feces on the upper side). Luckily for me, the right side appeared to be clean enough, so I could sleep through the night half-decently after all. The incident, though most unusual (I have lodged about 30 nights per year over the last 10 years, and 90-100 over the previous 20 years, which makes over 2000 nights overall, and this was the first time this kind of incident happens to me), was not the bad part of the experience, however. The worst, and utterly inappropriate, was the proprietors' insolent reply to my report of what had happened: instead of apologizing, they openly accuse me of having "inadvertently" soiled the linens myself! Unbelievable that such people could be in the hospitality business themselves. Unaccaptable behaviour. They do not deserve being on the Booking.com circuit.
