Stunning location with the best view on the Waterfall Gocta. Mario was a loveley host. He even offered us a stunning hike to the upper part of the waterfall. Everything in the Hotel is made with love, from the cosy room to the breakfast. We are sad that its time to leave now. I would recommend the place to everyone!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Casa de Mario. The location is perfect, right on the hiking trail to Gocta waterfall, with a beautiful view of the falls from the property. The village is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. Mario is an exceptional host — he knows everything about the area and made us feel completely at home. He even made us a delicious homemade pizza with a purple corn crust — everything organic and full of flavor. We saw hummingbirds in the garden and many other beautiful birds around the property. It’s a great spot for bird lovers and nature lovers in general. If you’re coming to Cocachimba, don’t hesitate — Casa de Mario is the perfect place to stay!

La Casa de Mario was perfectly located right next to the Gocta Waterfall trail. The accommodations were clean and adequate. Our family and friends spent a wonderful long weekend hiking and exploring the local area. Mario was a wonderful host who helped us plan our days and schedule transportation. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, and he also made us some delicious pizzas and hamburgers for dinner. I highly recommend his place.

Mario was great! He cooked a great pizza, burgers and also prepared an amazing breakfast! The lodge rooms were very clean, spacious and each had amazing views of Gocta waterfall. The trailhead to Gocta waterfall was located immediately outside the Casa de Mario door. Mario was instrumental in locating excellent drivers and an English speaking guide! La Casa de Mario enhanced our Chachapoyas experience!

This was the perfect location with the best view. Our host was amazing. The photos don’t do it justice. It’s even more beautiful and serene in person.

The location must be one of the best in Peru. In our room, we could open the door, lie in bed and look out onto the Gocta Falls, the entire valley and listen to the birds singing in the Cloud Forest. The host, Mario, is an amazingly friendly and helpful man, great to talk to and extremely helpful. Not to mention, a great cook as well! His pizzas are world class!

Location is mind-blowing, views, facilities and most importantly we felt home, Mario is a great host, always happy to help , great flexibility with check-in/check-out and with great knowledge of the area...we enjoy every minute.

Everything. It is located in one of the prettiest places on earth. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast really good.
