Cozy and Secure 3-Bedroom, 2-Bath Unit with 6 Beds and Beautiful Bay View

The apartment is spacious, clean and well equipped. Beds and pillows are very comfortable.

The building itself is old and somewhat shabby.

Felt right at home. The host communicated to me with clear instructions. Provided us with additional linen etc.

Some furniture had stains so would recommend this to be sorted.

I didn’t like too many things.

The house smelled of smoke and a very strong flowery odor that seemed to be used to try and cover up the awful smoke smell. We were moving our son into UC Berkely and had to keep all his clothes on the balcony just to avoid them stinking like the house. There is no living room area to speak of. The couch in there is as hard as a rock but you can’t really use the living room because the entire kitchen table is in there. The place is clean but old and somewhat haggard. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you don’t like the smoke smell. It is clear that someone is smoking in there on a regular basis because the smoke permeates everything.

My family and I recently stayed in this condo for Graduation Weekend at nearby UC Berkeley. The size was perfect for us - 4 adults and one child. There was plenty of room for us all and with two bathrooms there was never a wait to use it..The kitchen was convenient and perfect for preparing meals for all of us..The parking lot was convenient and safe and was welcomed in an area where parking can be difficult to find..The unit was on the Top floor,with elevator, and had a wonderful balcony with a view of the entire San Francisco Bay..You could see both bridges on the Bay and two nights there were fireworks across the bay that were fun to watch.. This condo was so perfect for our purposes of being able to all stay together and cook after we went out and attended the different Graduation ceremonies and programs. Albany is a very nice little town in the Bay Area and I was pleasantly surprised by how charming it is..There were several grocery stores and different shopping places nearby and while we didn't eat out at Restaurants that weekend, there were several restaurants I would come back to explore. All and all it was perfect for our Weekend.

These things did not bother me but some might be bothered by the fact that it is right next to the freeway into the Bay Area and is quite busy at all hours..I never heard it in the condo, but you definitely will hear it on the balcony as it overlooks the freeway with the Ocean just on the other side of the freeway..So if that's an issue for you it will bother you..I personally enjoyed the view and sunset so much I just ignored the freeway..The other thing that might be an issue for some is the living room is quite small so if you have a lot of guests the living room isn't really big enough for everyone, although there's a huge dining table and for us, we were all able to sit comfortably eating..If your stay is for just a group of friends or a large family like ours, the layout of the bedrooms is perfect and each has privacy..But not a place you might want to hangout in..But why would you hangout in the condo when you have the entire Bay Area to explore..You will need a car for the area, but I could see on the other side of the freeway there was a hiking area and maybe a nature preserve along the coast that looked worthwhile to explore and could be reached on foot..The Area itself was very safe and is in a nice neighborhood..Uber is easy to get there. If you don't have a car Uber would be convenient to get to any nearby area or the BART system to reach anywhere in the Bay Area including the two main airports. Also worthwhile to know is the grocery stores deliver there so it's convenient if you forget anything..The only last thing is while the condo had all the towels and necessities for a group of 4 adults for the 3 days we stayed, I imagine if you stayed longer you would need to wash your towels, but there is a coin laundry there and the owner left coins and detergent.. It's not a fancy place visually but definitely a convenient and practical place for a group of people.

Beds were very comfortable! Kitchen had a wide array of small appliances Bathrooms were well supplies with towels.

So comfortable. The beds and bedding are a dream. I didn't want to get up. Everything is crisp and clean. Computers and big smart TV in every room. Also, air filters. The kids loved they had their own digital lock on their room door. Awesome touch. The host is very kind and helpful. We wanted to stay longer, but it was booked.
