The Palm Peaks with a Mountain View & 300m from Sea

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful place in Cape Town — it’s well-equipped, stylish, and in a great location.

the power kept tripping whenever we turned on the geyser, which meant we had no hot water from Friday night until Sunday afternoon. With two young kids, this was quite difficult and made our stay less comfortable. While we do appreciate that the hosts tried to resolve the issue and it was finally fixed on Sunday late afternoon, it was still an inconvenience that affected our overall experience.

The location is great and surprisingly quiet, the apartment is stylish, beautiful and was very clean. We had the luxury of 2 lovely bathrooms, that’s a fairly rare find. Also had 2 balconies. Kitchen was very well equipped and stocked with rusks, pods for the coffee machine and milk in the fridge. Beds were comfortable. Communication swift.

The key situation is a hint awkward and needs some practice, the fan in the second bedroom was very weak and didn’t help at all with the hot nights. There are no air cons. Once we had switched our fan off in the main bedroom as it was very noisy, we were tortured by mosquitoes, so 2 of the 3 nights were quite restless. Check-in and check-out times are quite stingy (16:00 and 10:00 respectively) and we were asked to pay 300 Rand for an earlier check-in.

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment itself was in a very nice and safe location. Well-maintained with nice taste in decoration. We loved it!!

The furniture was very comfortable. Both bedrooms were a good size and had en suite bathrooms. Milk and rusks left in the flat for us. We loved sitting g on the verandah. A perfect flat for staying in if travelling with a friend.

We didn't know about the stairs. My parents are both in their eighties and we would have preferred no stairs. It would be good if there was a safe in the property. It would be good if parking could be booked at time of booking. We would have liked an oven. Perhaps a microwave, oven combination.

We arrived without instructions to get the keys and we had to wait a long time on the pavement with our baby. Not ideal

Check in

Location, space and convenience

January and February can be very hot in Cape Town. If aircon is not an option, and ceiling fans are not an option, then there should at least be a standing fan in each room. We had one. Also, there are no sheer curtains on the windows for privacy. The bedrooms look directly in to the opposite units and so during the day we had to keep the curtains closed, making the rooms very dark.

The flat was spacious and both bedrooms were ensuite. The location was great! Easy transport to town using MyCity buses which are really reliable. A few stops to Camps Bay Beach⛱️ Waterfront is not far from Sea Point I recommend this flat to anyone looking for a nice, comfortable quiet stay. The staff were very polite and helpful to give directions for shopping malls and restaurants.

Everything for us was great.
