Pool, Roof Terrace, 3 Bedroom Villa, Galle Fort

We had a great stay at the Villa, it was in a perfect location to explore Galle, the staff were excellent and friendly, nothing was too much for them. The breakfast was delicious and huge, and the small plunge pool was so refreshing during the hottest part of the day.

Wow....what a wonderful experience. The property was beautiful - the decor was absolutely gorgeous. But it was our hosts that made this a truly memorable experience. From Nimali and Junie arranging everything prior to arrival - the communication was excellent. I asked prior to coming if we could arrange something special for our friends birthday - they could not have been more helpful and willing to get something sorted - and the birthday surprise they created gave memories that will last a lifetime. They even arranged a massage for us during our stay - which was also great. Then when we arrived - Sujee and Lahiru were waiting and gave us the warmest welcome - wonderful smiles, cold towels and a lovely cold drink. Sujee never stopped the entire time we were there - making sure the property was clean, welcoming, ensuring it always looked great - whether that be lighting, sorting the window blinds, lighting incense sticks, getting drinks. Always on hand to support with anything we needed. Lahiru made us such wonderful food - a special birthday meal the first night - was fantastic - and even talked me through some of the dishes he was making. Followed the next morning with a celebratory breakfast. Wonderful people and a wonderful property - would highly recommend. Thanks all for a great stay

A beautifully furnished villa that is spacious and comfortable. The kind of place you'd see featured in an interiors magazine. Located in a quiet street within the fort, just steps away from the shops and restaurants. The service from the onsite staff was friendly and faultless.

Nothing really to dislike. If I was going to say anything, it would be to suggest the addition of cooling units in the communal area. All the bedrooms have a/c but the living area only has ceiling fans so it can get quite warm. This wouldn't stop me staying here again though.

Where can I start . The property was much more than what we expected . We just loved the location ( right inbetween the main fort area - everything was just a two min walk away ) of the place . We loved the cleanliness. We loved how welcoming the staff was . The warmth and care by the caretaker sujee and the limited but scrumptious breakfast by the chef . The manager Nimali and the caretaker sujee -were so prompt in answering our queries and helping us out when needed .

This is a great place to stay - ideal location in the fort, and it is absolutely beautiful (it looks good in the pics, but even they don’t do justice to how gorgeous it is). So comfortable and wonderful food - the breakfast in particular was great. The sunset views are incredible. I could go on. Special note for the staff as well - Nimali was super helpful and responsive ahead of travelling to Galle, and then from the moment you arrive you are looked after incredibly well by the wonderful Lahiru and Sugee. One thing to note - the location means you do get some noise (this is a living town after all). The green space opposite the villa is used by school children in the morning and cricket in the early evening. We loved it, but worth knowing

Beautiful villa. Great house staff. Fantastic location. Only slightly down side is that there is a lot of street noise as it’s close to a road. That didn’t bother us too much and i would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful old building within the fort. Lovely communal space and refreshing plunge pool. Very good breakfast especially the banana pancakes.

Chandolu is a fantastic villa situated inside the old fort of Galle. We just spent five days there, exploring the sites and enjoying southern Sri Lanka. The villa is beautifully presented and located in a fairly quiet residential street but just a stroll from the restaurants and shops. There are three ensuite bedrooms, two downstairs next to the lovely courtyard and plunge pool, and a massive master suite upstairs with its own terrace overlooking the fort walls, a great location for sunset. However best of all was Sujee who took care of us in the villa during our stay and always greeted us with a smile. The team at Chandolu can also organise excursions and we had a great elephant safari to Udawalawe National Park which was well worth the 4am start! In addition they can arrange transport to/from Colombo Airport which is around 2 hours away. Overall a great stay and we cannot wait to go back!

We had no complaints, this villa certainly lived up to our expectations.
