If you have a car the location is quite good (although very difficult to find) and you can see Mt Fuji from roof. Manager is helpful if you get to see him. Nearby Ogino supermarket is good.

Very small rooms. Double bed is just a large single. Could be cleaner (too many hairs). Nowhere to unpack and store things. Light pollution is terrible at night. Curtains/blinds do not block light. Facilities are already quite worn. All (3) bikes are rusty and gears don’t work. Better to hire from bike shop in town. Sat nav tries to take you down a narrow steep gravel path.

Thanks to the 山間屋 for making our days by Mt. Fuji so enjoyable and wonderful. Every day, we could cook our own breakfast with all the kitchen utensils and cookware fully provided. When we wanted to make hot pot, the owner even specially brought us a pot! The bathroom was spacious and warm, and the living room had enough space for a large group. The TV was big, and we could see Mt. Fuji from the rooftop balcony. On our second day, the weather was great, and we finally got to see Mt. Fuji! 🗻 We absolutely loved our stay here and highly recommend it to everyone! Many thanks to the kind and thoughtful owner who constantly checked in on us. We are truly grateful! 🙏

Nice house - clean and modern. The beds very comfy. The nice Lady from the office was very kind and helpful. The communication with the staff very good - via whatsapp. If there was an issue- they helped promptly. Thank you!! Our dog was welcome, too.

This house suits for up to 9 People - but you do not have one big pot or pan to cook for so many. You have to pay extra for the BBQ and for the Bonfire and for the dog As usual in Japan - value for money is not good. Even if it is a nice house, it is to expensive.

Inconvenient transportation, we had to arrange for taxi cabs in advance of all travel.

Outstanding view of Fuji-san. The villa is great for couples or for groups as there is plenty of space. Very clean, and close to restaurants and convenience stores. Excellent stay!

Only comment I could add for improvement is to have extra coffee pods and tea bags available for the Nespresso machine
