Canyon Getaway- Courtyard, Canyon Rd & Plaza, 1BR

Do not make the mistake I did and LOOK UP THE STREET IN GOOGLE MAPS. Maps has terrible photos. The street where the property is is actually a premium area; it is an art district, filled with pretty galleries and art on the outside. It is a nice, easy stroll, quite lovely. A couple of high-end restaurants, and lots of artsy things to buy. It is a major plus for the property. The photographs of the place actually do not give it enough credit. The property is lovely, well built on Santa Fe style. The kitchen is well stocked with proper utensils, and the main room has a comfy bed. The bathroom is big enough and very clean.

Nothing. This place is so good that pointing out stuff would be nitpicking. But one little story: the bed is soft and large. But, if you engage in acts of passion, the head rest bangs a bit against the wall, making some noise. Nothing that a pillow cannot solve (or just a change in orientation).

Super neat space in an excellent location! Walking distance to some cool areas- tons of galleries nearby if you're into art! The place was very clean and comfortable as well. Also- Teahouse across the street has some KILLER food.

Not a complaint- but it can be a little difficult to maneuver the driveway and parking area in a large vehicle! We were driving a Tundra and it was a little tight! Just something to be aware of.

TV didn’t work Bed needs a topper.

Everything. It was a place we fantasize about owning.

Location, size, cleanliness, amenities

The little step up into the kitchen took some getting used to, a few near miss face plants and we got used to it quick!

Quiet, great location, clean, well appointed

The space is exquisite. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, charming, well stocked. The location is absolutely premium. I LOVED being here for the three nights we stayed. I highly recommend it!

The huge downside we experienced which was totally unnecessary was that we needed 30 extra minutes beyond check out to leave in peace and comfort. It’s a very early check out as it is and it was my birthday. So I asked very kindly for this accommodation twice. It was refused because they said that the cleaners had to arrive right at check out to clean for the next guests. So we raced out in a state of huge stress. We ate our breakfast unceremoniously in the car so as to not go against the host’s wishes. Lo and behold, the cleaners never arrived that whole time we were sitting there in the car eating and there was zero reason that we needed to experience such a disappointing exit for such an extraordinary stay otherwise. I’ve still given the space a 10 star review because I believe it deserves it. But I’m writing this to really make the hosts think about upgrading their approach to critical customer service details like this. It makes a HUGE impact on guests one way or the other. I’m a host of a luxury retreat center and I know this from experience. Please do better because going the extra mile, or in this case the extra 30 little minutes would have made the whole experience absolutely perfect.
