Dead and crawling roaches in bedrooms upstairs. Smelled like wet dog and pesticides. Not enough towels. Worse experience we ever had. We were there with 3 girl-scouts teenage girls. They were screaming from roaches in bed in shower. They had bug plug ins with dead roaches stock to them. They also put a $1000 hold on my cc for incidentals. Even a hotel doesn’t do that much!!!

The house was spacious and the beds were comfortable.

First, the title of this unit on booking.com is “Pet friendly 3BR Getaway”; but upon arrival, we were met with a thick “book of rules” which specified that no pets were allowed and that a $500 charge would be implemented and that guests would be removed without refund if pets were discovered. This was total false advertising. Also, when completing the steps to finalize my booking, I was made to enter my card details for a $50 “security hold”, which I understood since this is standard for most hotels. when I entered the details, the “hold” came through as a charge, then the owner later refused to refund it at the end of a stay. We noticed gnats (as well as some roaches ) everywhere and had to eat out every single day because we were bombarded with bugs every time we took out food. A few days into our stay, we discovered the source of the bugs: millions of swollen, engorged bug eggs lining the interior of the full trash cans ( which housekeeper said hadn't been emptied in 4 weeks.) to spend hours attempting to clean the eggs and bought several expensive sprays and “bug bombs” in attempts to eradicate the problem. When we informed the owner about these issues, she said we should have told her sooner so that she could call an exterminator & refused to make reparations on any of these awful issues. She wouldn’t even honor a request for a slightly late check out we made (the bugs from this house infested our personal food and trying to clean all the fresh eggs they continuously made was a nightmare, as well as quite time consuming) I attempted to address these issues once more and asked for a refund of my security hold but the owner reached out staying that the housekeeper (the same housekeeper we met who thanked us for picking up in the house to “make her job easier” and endlessly complained about how negligent the owner is ) said we left the house in “poor condition” Do not stay in this unit unless you want to be scammed & infested with bugs!

Although our overall experience was good, there were some things we felt needed more attention to detail. The main living space curtains were visibly stained and the shower curtain liners had visible wear and need replacing. These issues kept us from rating the stay great or exceptional.

Sherri and Naya were very attentive to all inquiries. The property was very clean, super confortable and well equipped. Publix was just a two minute car ride away. All city attractions were within 20 minutes of the property and easy to reach. I would definitely recommend the host and property to anyone looking for a quiet, safe and very comfortable place to stay.

Super spacious, clean and very close to downtown St.Augustine!

Place is really new, super clean and comfortable. Away from busy historical downtown yet within easy drive distance. The neighborhood is beautiful, clean and quiet.

Had everything you could possibly need. NEW. Yes. Quiet. Location was convenient to whatever you wanted to see. Host left snacks even. So much room. Nice linens. Can’t say enough about the value.
