Jos's House. Thai Loft 50mt to La Carihuela Beach

Great location and close to the beach

Overall a bit disappointing. Communication from the host was poor, and the late check-in time was inconvenient. When we arrived to finally check in, the apartment still wasn’t ready for another hour and a half, which the host did apologise for. The apartment had limited amenities and was quite noisy from nearby bars / the street at night. The description of “loft” is misleading, as it’s actually on the ground floor. The small outdoor area lacked privacy, with people frequently passing by. The outdoor shutter and indoor blinds were also broken, which made the room very bright in the mornings. This issue of the outdoor shutter had been mentioned in a previous review, so it was disappointing to find it still not fixed.

El alojamiento está muy bien ubicado, es un bajo así que perfecto para las maletas. Tanto la cama como el sofá cama son muy cómodos. Equipado con muchísimas cosas tanto en la cocina como en el baño. Nos gustó mucho, moderno, bonito, cómodo y bien ubicado. Repetiríamos.

En la cocina no habían enchufes, o al menos no lo encontramos. Hablamos con Jose por si podíamos dejar las maletas por la mañana para poder ir a la playa y nos comentó que sobre las 12 o 12.15 podríamos hacerlo. Llegamos allí y le llamamos y nos comentó que los otros huéspedes aun no se habían ido, que en hora y media llegaría para darnos las llaves y dejar las maletas. Esperamos por el paseo marítimo con las maletas. A la hora y media volvemos a llamar y nos dice lo mismo y que tarda 45 minutos pero que iba a llamar a una limpiadora. Esperamos y volvemos a llamar, que no encontraba a nadie que volviéramos a esperar otros 45 minutos. Le dijimos que íbamos a dejar las maletas de nuevo en el coche y al restaurante que habíamos reservado. Hasta las 5,50 de la tarde no nos entregó las llaves. Muy amable en todo momento y se acercó hasta la playa. Menos por este suceso, por lo demás, estamos muy contentas.

The location was perfect close to the beach, bars, and restaurants. The apartment was lovely apart from the blind and shutter, not closing, which left no privacy from passers by in the street.

No communication from the owner after they had sent someone to repair the shutter. It still wasn't repaired correctly. When we went out on the balcony, if we closed the door, the shutter would drop slightly, which would have meant we couldn't open the door to get back in. Messaged several times, to express our concerns and how disappointed we were and wanted it fixed, but had no response at all.

Great location for the holidays we like to take. Very close to the beach and the vibrant La Cariheula.

Block away from the beach and right across from the venue where a powerlifting competition was held. Very comfortable and had air conditioning, being from Ireland the temperature in Spain in February is like our summer. Will definitely come back here to use as a base to explore Torremolinos a bit more.

Nothing to complain about.
