Lovely lake views. Clean, quiet location. Plus a very friendly little cat who wanted to hang out with us.

The owner Jud is very friendly and nice! He was very kind to show us the room before we locked in our stay, and provided recommendations for local restaurants (the Thai place in Santee near I-95 is amazing!). The other staff was also very friendly, and answered all our questions.

The location was nice and quiet and the lake was beautiful. There was a separate bathhouse for campers/RV’ers, which included washers and dryers. Everything in the resort is within walking distance to the country store where they sell just about anything you can imagine—from fishing licenses and gear, to automotive products and even kratom. The WiFi was top notch! The owners seem to care about how well everything is going and is eager to help if you need anything at all. We were only here for a short amount of time (one night) and needed a quiet, calm place to have a “vacation wind-down” with access to laundry facilities. This served our purpose well.

Be advised that this place is very old. The owners have done a good job of trying to provide every amenity one may want: fridge, TV, microwave, desk/table, armchair, coffee maker, and hair dryer. But at the end of the day, this building has seen a lot. You WILL hear your neighbors talking at a normal volume, walking around, running their shower, or opening/closing their doors. A couple sets of ear plugs are provided, but not everyone can sleep with them in so keep that in mind. I also suggest bringing a power strip if you have more than one or two high speed charging devices to plug in. As it is older property, the only available wall outlets were two by the bed closest to the window and two by the sink. There are 2 USB-A and 1 USB-C ports on each lamp, plus a regular plug in. Since a majority of our devices use high speed charging, the USB-A ports didn’t work for us and the regular plug in was too small to fit a high speed Apple charging block. The USB-C was not powerful enough to charge the one iPad we had with us. I always travel with a power strip with a long cord, so we were able to make it work for us. As a disclosure, we fully recognize we probably have more devices than the average person, so take that critique with a grain of salt.
