The location is ideal for exploring the town and local areas. We had two dogs with us so it was very handy to be opposite the park. The bedding and towels were soft and clean. The house was very large and comfortable for large groups for short stays. I would suggest the property is more suited to families looking for a home-from-home than anyone wanting something a little more special to stay.

The house needed a lot of TLC, and would really benefit from some updates and a little more thought going into renting it out. It definitely felt like a Airbnb rather than somewhere you'd rent through Booking.com like I did, as it was more like you were staying at a friends house rather than guest house. The carpets and overall cleanliness didn't really feel appropriate for a rental property, with the saving grace being the cosy and clean bedding. I had to re-pressurise the boiler on arrival as it had been left to go to zero and was in standbye mode, the microwave was broken, the stove is very old and doesn't get up to temperatures above 160c it seemed, there was lots of cooking equipment available, but most was heavily used and rather grubby, although plates and cups etc were clean. Whilst there was a fireplace, there was no coal or logs, which was disappointing given the weather. Overall, it just felt there was a lack of love for the place, and there was no information to welcome guests to the home or the area.

We liked how well equipped it was. How much space it gave three families meeting up. The location suited us perfectly. It would be a space we would use again.

I know the host is selling but little things are not quite right. The mattress in the smaller front bedroom was super uncomfortable and half the doors wouldn’t shut . Some carpets were very marked and the upstairs mid level flush vibrated the whole house.

Really nice accommodation with some lovely welcoming touches to make it extra nice including a bottle of wine and a chocolate cake on arrival. The house also stocked all the basics like tea, coffee and milk which makes it so much easier when you are travelling. We had a lovely stay.

Bigger outside area but because of the history and design of the house this would never had been possible but there is plenty of room in the kitchen area to socialise instead. There is a green area/ park directly across the rd.

Very clean property , very comfortable , well equipped.
