Great little cottage. Ideal location. Off road parking.

Second time staying but unfortunately we had issues with the boiler/heating. However, the communication with the owner was great and gave fast response to try to resolve the issue. Unfortunately on this occasion it wasn't a simple fix and requires further professional maintenance which hopefully they resolve quickly. They have provided compensation for the inconvenience of no heating during Oct/Nov. All this being said, it wouldn't put us off and we would look to book and stay again in the future. The kitchen is standard, though one cupboard is full of left over condiments which could do with being cleared out and more room for cups and plates. A microwave isn't available but there is room for one.

It looks cute. The sofas are comfortable but only for 4, the property was advertised for 5

Some lights didn’t work. Mould in parts of the property, particularly the disgusting shower screen. The shower was broken, we had to do makeshift repairs to be able to use. There were broken units in the kitchen. Door storage in fridge is missing. Freezer is completely iced up. Garden was a mess with broken furniture. £300 damage/cleaning deposit is outrageous. Security deposit has been returned but I have asked for a refund of part of the cleaning fee due to having to remove and clean mouldy items. Owners are not responding. I would not book any of their properties again.

Feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere, but close to where we needed to be. Beautiful setting, quaint home.

Arriving on a cold winter day to find the heating hadn't been turned on and it was 12 degrees inside. No useful instructions on where thermostat was or how to use it. Cottage hadn't been thoroughly cleaned - lots of cobwebs, dirty tea towels, a baby's bottle with curdled milk left in kitchen, dirty oven, lots of leftover pantry supplies from previous guests - no idea how long they had been there and taking up loads of space and needed throwing out, cupboards were cluttered and untidy. Lack of care and attention to details - lights/lamps without working bulbs, empty washing up liquid bottle left on kitchen sink, hand wash had been watered down, dirty tea towels left in washing machine with no clean ones left for us to use, pedal bin in kitchen broken, gas fire not securely attached to fireplace, shower head not securely fixed. Single bed was very soft. Cottage is run by a management company so staff thanked us for the feedback about the issues but did nothing to resolve them. When I asked how the gas fire worked, they told me to google it!!!!
