Avenue of the Giants Caraway Cottage (#3)

Location was great. Very comfortable place. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Not much to dislike. Kinda small rooms but not bad at all.

Very comfortable beds, everything smelled fresh and clean

Washing machine didn’t have directions to use the powder detergent there

We never met the owner in person, but she was very pleasant to deal with, by email, text, or phone call. She always responded promptly. The house was meticulously clean! And she had thought of everything! We especially appreciated the binder full of helpful information about the property and the area, including detailed descriptions of local restaurants, grocery store, and places of interest. Our short vacation was perfect, thanks largely to her attention to detail!

Straining my brain to think of anything! If I were being super picky, I'd suggest removing the screwed-in hook from the inside of the bathroom door and turning around the over-the-door multi-hook unit, for convenience. But really, she had provided everything we needed and more.

This cottage sits in a beautiful location in the trees. Light flows through the house, the furnishings very high quality, the beds super comfortable, located far enough away from the highway so there's no noise, yet very close to Avenue of the Giants, easy to get anywhere from here. Five stars--wish we could have stayed longer.

The Caraway Cottage is one of the best homes we’ve stayed at. The location is just south of the Avenue of the Giants. It is very cute and you can tell the host put a lot of thought into it. We liked having heaters in each room to conserve energy and they work great. The place is very clean, fully stocked with everything we needed - from dishes, cups, utensils, pots and pans, towels, etc, and we actually had ample amounts of shampoo AND conditioners (without the wasteful tiny little plastic bottles). The host is uber responsive and we appreciate her clear directions and quick replies to our texts. Highly recommend this place and we would definitely stay here again.
