Amalfi 90 - holiday house close the beach

I loved the town it is was in. Beautiful, so close to amalfi but ended up staying in Atrani most days/nights we loved it so much

Quite dirty. Floors were very gross, toilet dirty and covered in hair and shower floor very dirty and kitchen and its facilities were also unclean and grimy.

Very spacious. Shower good. Good facilities to cook meals in, although basic condiments supplied. Luca responded quickly to replace any broken or missing items. Quiet location with nice well-priced bar, cafe and restaurants in nearby square. Easy 10 minute walk to Amalfi town-centre via pedestrian walkway. Great options for excursions from Amalfi (eg. Travelmar Walk of Gods trip (16 euro for minibus and return ferry), walk up to Ravello to Villa Cimboni and town (get bus from Amalfi if you can't face the many, many steps up), boat trips to Maiori/Minori for Walk of lemons (9 euro if return to Atrani).

Via Giovani XXIII is actually a stone staircase rather than a road: be prepared for ~90 steps to reach apartment!

It was close to the beach.

The fridge wasn’t working, personal was rude, it didn’t have shampoo or soap. The sink was broken and the floor was wet. there were old products in rhe cupboards smelling bad.

Location near to funicular, comfortable, great attention

Property was very clean and the location is excellent!

Nothing.

The apartment is extremely noisy. You can’t see the natural light from any room but you can smell humidity and hear the noise outside as it is not well isolated. At the check in, my room was not ready as the housekeeper forgot to clean up so I found the apartment with full bins, towels on the floor and dirt on the floor. I had to wait outside until 7.30 pm to have the apartment ready. The compensation was to offer me a bottle of water or coffee but I didn’t accept. The last day, there was no hot water in the apartment, so I couldn’t take a shower. I asked for a compensation after my stay for the inconvenience but the property owner was dishonest, saying that he offered me an aperitif, that I blackmailed them to get €50, that I left the apartment in disorder and that I should be the one paying! The problem is that they can’t prove all their lies.

Unlike the super expensive Amalfi, this location is perfect to stay and visit the Amalfi coast. It’s not too far up the hill, and the apartment is spacey and well-equipped. The staff, Ylenia was super friendly as she would explain in details the accommodation and where we should eat.
