Host & Stay - Rose Cottage, Pickering

Excellent location close to the centre of the town and in a location position for trips to the moors, dales and coast. Great facilities in the cottage, everything you needed.

Master bedroom window would have been better if it had a net curtain up, you were very visible if the curtains were open. A secondary double glazed unit in front of the Master bedroom window would help to cut down traffic noise.

The property is well equipped and in a good position in the town. it is close to shops, cafes, restaurants . There are interesting places nearby to visit

The stairs to the second bedroom are very steep. The overhead light on these stairs was not working so the staircase was very dim The handrail on the stairs to the second bedroom did not reach to the top of the stairs which was a safety issue The mattresses were very uncomfortable particularly on the 2 single beds. This had been mentioned several times in the guest book but obviously has not been addressed The slider lock on the bathroom door was a very tight fit and often did not engage properly allowing the door to open unexpectedly
