Nice location

Rubbish bin it was full when we came, maintenance very poor and it was not very clean

This property is in a good location for Hamilton East and is a in a quiet street. The beds were comfortable.

The property is very tired and run down, but much of what is wrong can be easily and inexpensively remedied. On the surface the house is tidy, kitchen benches clean, floor swept, but a deep clean is needed. The black mould in both the bathrooms is a health hazard. Most of it could be cleaned off the surfaces, such as the ceiling, wall, around the windows. Silicon needs replacing to remedy the mould around the showers. There should be a fan in the second bathroom, especially as the window cannot be opened. The floor rug in the lounge area is filthy, as is the upholstery, both just need a thorough clean. Curtains need to be rehung. If you want repeat business, these actions could make all the difference.

Nothing, it was horrible

It was absolutely disgusting, it was dirty and rubbish dumped out the back and front of the house. The bathrooms were extremely dirty with mould on the ceiling and walls and the kitchen was also very dirty. The cupboards and pots were filthy. The internet didn’t work and they didn’t have all the things they advertise as having such as a dryer. The lounge was dirty and stained, the rug was filthy. There were no glasses to drink out of and no supplies at all not even a clean kitchen sponge. No coat hangers to hang your clothes. Dead bugs in the kitchen drawers. The kitchen fan was dripping oil it was that dirty. Furniture was broken. Definitely not value for money.

When we contacted the landlord with our issues, they responded quickly.

The house maintenance was very poor. Lots of things broken, the wifi didn't work. Two heaters didn't work and there wasn't a main form of heating. The beds didn't have top sheets and the whole house was very dirty. The door code we were given had been changed and we weren't informed. Part of our group were left waiting outside for some time while the landlord was contacted. Not enough blankets for the beds and the couch was very stained.

Good: Beds were comfortable and it was quiet, off street parking.

Not very clean, dirty with built up grime in kitchen and bathroom. Smelled musty and dirty, very run down with ripped wall paper in some rooms. Worse Booking.com stay ever. Would not stay here again.

Spacious and clean

Good space for our whole group of 8.

There were two showers which would have been great for 8 people however, one was unusable as the water dribbled out. So that was not good. The newer shower was great.

Previous rubbish in bottom of bin. Ants on kitchen bench but easily cleaned

It was good location , it was cosy ,that when we requested extra blankets they brought some over straight away ,and tea towels

Just minor things Curtains draw strings not working and the door handle in second bathroom coming off could do with extra cutlery and maybe bigger pots an a couple of big bowls for salads
