"A stunning retreat far from the main city"

A stunning retreat far from the main city up north offers an authentic view of the Komovi mountains. It's likely the closest you can get for an overnight stay. The hosts are wonderful and hospitable. Landlady Violetta is exceptionally kind and made us feel at home. The landlord entertains guests with local music on instruments. The veal at the restaurant is outstanding. Although the food prices are high, they are well worth it. We spent 200 in total, covering accommodation, food, and some drink souvenirs. Things to consider: * No WiFi * Limited electricity (only from 7 to 11 pm) * Cash payments only

Getting there is quite tough, involving 8 km of off-road driving, which can take around 1.5 hours if you have a small car. I wouldn't recommend it if it's raining; an off-road vehicle is essential.

L'emplacement incroyable, l'accueil chaleureux. En revanche, Pas facile de trouver la katun en arrivant par nos propres moyens... nous étions à moto. Il faut vraiment une application GPS, et les panneaux sont rares et pas en alphabet latin. Sinon c'est incroyable et cela vaut vraiment cette longue piste!
