Velvet Apartments - 56 Vicar Lane

Central Leeds location, spotless apartment, well furnished and very comfy bed.

I arrived v late on a winter night. because apartment has electric heaters it took a little while to warm up. But they worked perfectly and it did heat up.

Very amateurish this, never before experienced anything like it. The apartment wasn't ready. We arrived at the time stated on VA website. The night prior to our stay the clocks had gone back, so in affect they'd had an extra hour to prepare the apartment. On arrival the bed wasn't made, as in the previous guests had peeled themselves out of bed, and that was how it was for our arrival. Used. We were told it will be ready in 1 hour. We were now pushed for time. We had a dinner reservation and our night planned. This now left us half hour to get ready. OK. Its still doable. Came back 1 hour later, as 3 housekeepers? We're leaving the apartment, it's all ready for you now. I was absolutely appalled to find that there was no fresh bedding, the bed had simply been shaken back to shape. Creased, make up stains. No vacuuming. Disgusting. Won't entertain staying here. Had to wait a week for deposit and refund refunding. Nightmare of having to book a hotel close by. No time to sort anything due to our plans for the evening. Really gave us a challenge on what should've been a nice relaxing evening in Leeds Also. The get the dead plants in the bin, they're not coming back to life!

Fabulous location, right in the heart of Leeds. Great host came with great facilities and super cosy. Beautiful big windows with lovey sunlight. Cleaned to a high standard and amenities are very thoughtful. Can’t wait to return.
