Host & Stay - Emerald Beach House

We had an enjoyable long weekend at Emerald House to attend the Saltburn food festival. The property has plenty of space and is generally well equipped, well furnished and decorated with comfortable beds. The location is ideal for the beach / shops / pubs etc. It does have many random steps particularly on the middle level into the bathroom which need to be navigated carefully especially for young children, older people or those with mobility issues.

There were a few niggles :– No terrestrial TV. On top floor there was a lack of hot water in the en- suite and a lack of drawer storage. Un welcoming rear outside area No welcome / information pack No recycling information until we discovered the bins in back street. On arrival dishwasher was full of washed plates and cutlery, which had to be unloaded and in some cases re washed. No clocks anywhere in the property

The deco was my taste , 3 double bedrooms , location was excellent.

Double bed was very hard compared to other beds ,

Close to sea . Comfy sofas

Lighting on top bedroom poor difficult to see in the wardrobes as dim lighting. No tv aerial so only catch-up on lounge tv. Kitchen cluttered and worktops need refurbishing as wood is unsealed and unhygienic
