Sandakan Blue Coastal escape 蓝海岩栖

Great place with good facilities. Kitchenware, cleanliness, television and environment are all good.

This new condo is located on a quiet hill, and is only 2-3 km to the town centre. Safety is at its highest measure. Facilities are quite complete. The host Connie is very attentive and patiently guiding us via Whatsapp when we are still heading up to the hostel.

It feels like a bit far off from convenient stores when having needs to make own food. But it is not quite a big problem. The convenience of self check-in may be improved if the management of the condo can allow us to get the access cards and keys from the mailbox inside.

We stayed 5 nights here in family, the apartement is big enough and recent. There is also a drinking water machine (hot and cold) There is a parking if you rent a car. It's at a walking distance (700m) from Elopura recreation park which is a walk surrounding Sandakan with a stunning view (around 2km to make the loop). Nice view from the balcony (trees and mountain).

It's in a residential area with no restaurant/shop nearby. You'll have to rent a car or take grabs for everything.

The communication is responsive and very nice and professional. Happy to help if/when u ask or need something.

The place has no amenities that are available to you. The add informs a pool, gym, sauna but none of these are available to the guest, security informed us only for owners and we couldnt use. The place also doesn't have any shops or eateries nearby so you have to catch a grab everywhere (which are cheap) or hire a car for yourself. Also you can't be picked up from tours from this place (unless a private tour). We was willing to pay to go in and out of town thinking we had access to the pool, but we did not. So better to pay a little more and be in town with access to everything (or breakfast included as well) than to pay to go anywhere just for the bed.
