Great property very central

Beds hard for us not much storage in the kitchen

Arrived late afternoon, raining , location quite difficult to find in the dark, not really adequately lit, steps down to property quit slippery. Unable to gain access via keys are, despite entering correct code, contacted owner wh was not available, but message diverted to someone else who was very helpful and sorted the problem quickly

Lighting too property especially the steps down to the property Parking! But sympathise as we know Tavistock well and jnow how difficult it is to park

Good location to the town just a 2 minute walk to get to the town square. It was really cold weather during the time we were there but the heaters worked really well so it was never cold

We requested to check in between 3-4, turned up around 3:15 to find that the apartment had not been cleaned from the previous stay, beds had clearly been slept in, all the towels were wet and the living room area was dirty. I tried to contact the property with no luck, it took 3 hours for them to get back to us and to arrange for it to be cleaned. We were then offered a discount for our stay for the inconvenience rather than cancelling which has not been received. The apartment is looking fairly tired, the sofa is stained, all of the picture frames are misshaped and just about being held together. There is also very little storage in the property, we were a couple so could spread out across both rooms however a family of 4 would likely struggle for space.

My family and I enjoyed a comfortable stay. I could see the stars when I looked out the windows at night.

Clear communication from the host, very easy to get the keys. The apartment is dead in the centre of Tavistock, up a steep hill. There's a supermarket 5 minutes walk away, and plenty of places to eat nearby. The kitchen had a fridge, kettle, toaster, etc... but no microwave or washing machine. There is one other Airbnb apartment on this floor, and we had no problems with them... we barely knew they were there (other reviewers have criticised their neighbours, but we had zero issues.) The two bedrooms are lovely, plenty of space. Great location, great apartment, I'd happily stay again.

The only downside is that I was traveling with my two daughters. When I wanted to go out alone, I needed to close the apartment door (which they could easily open from the inside) but also lock the exterior door... and that could only be unlocked with a key. So, if there was an emergency or a fire, they wouldn't have been able to exit the property, except through the bedroom windows.
