Location was great the studio was fantastic

The property was doubled booked on Airbnb. The booking.com reservation is as cancelled 2 hours after we booked. we had to scramble to find another spot.

The cottage was cute with a beach vibe decor and very peaceful and serene, the perfect place to rest and recuperate after travelling internationally for a month. The deck is great at night with the fairy lights on. The lady managing the property was lovely. As I was not driving she took me on a local tour of the area to show me Zuma beach and the hiking trails.

It is easy to misinterpret the context of the property if you are an international traveller unfamiliar with Malibu. To clarify: - the cottage is not on or walking distance from the beach, but is a relatively short drive from two beaches, Zuma and Paradise Point. The cottage is walkable distance to the shops - if you take the short cut across the paddocks -and dodge some serious traffic while walking on the road verge. In short, doable on foot with buses, but best enjoyed if you are travelling with a car.

A lovely studio apartment, with huge living/dining/sleeping area, separate well-supplied kitchen area and nice shower room. Beautiful views.

The GPS in our hire car did not get us to the correct location and we ended up going up two very steep and rather scary incorrect lanes. I rang the phone number on the information we had been sent, and the person no longer worked for this rental property. She gave us the correct number but unfortunately during the subsequent conversation, my phone ran out of money and the call was cut off. We eventually found the property using Google maps. It would be supremely helpful to include directions from the Pacific Coast Highway with road names. When we arrived again the information was incorrect. There was no lockbox, but rather a door code. It was the same code as we'd been given for the lockbox, but needed an extra 'tick' key, which we hadn't noticed at first. So our arrival was extremely stressful. The light switches inside the door are for outside lights. When we arrived back in the dark, we had to use our torch to find the indoor light switch. The light switches for the living/sleeping area are on the very far side of the room, so again we needed to use our torch to find them!

House was great - matched the pictures and what we expected. Minor issue getting into property - they had just switched to a key code and the directions were still about accessing an actual key. Owner responded quickly and solved the issue.

The suite was clean and spacious. Every need was anticipated and fulfilled. Including beach chairs!
