RoseTree Lodge 3 bed Sleeps 6

Beautiful area, very scenic, quiet, peaceful, pleasant. The lodge looks beautiful outside and inside, although decor could do with a change/update. I have called the Vay-Cays reception on a few occasions to help me out with some things (minus the check-in fiasco), and they have been very patient with me.

Cleanliness - very dusty, cobwebs everywhere, even on the bed boards. Thick cob webs and a huge spider by the Internet router. Under the sofas weren't vacuumed/swept. Hairs in the drain plug of the shower. The face of the top drawer of the night stand on the lefthand side of the master bedroom fell off upon opening it and fell on my foot. Cooker - didn't always work. It had moments where it would work, and then all of a sudden, it would stop working mid cooking, which was very disappointing and inconvenient, especially with small children you have to cook food for. On the evening before departure, it took 3 hours to cook a simple meal, and the children ended up eating very late. Master Bed - myself and my youngest Son slept in the master bedroom for the whole duration of our stay, and we never sleep with the windows open, nor did we leave open whilst we were out. We both obtained insect bites; me all over my arms and my Son all over his right leg and a huge cluster on his right buttock. They are not your usual bite from a mosquito, and believe me, I know what it means to be attacked by mosquitos no matter how hard I try to prevent it. The following day, after returning home, I had been to see the doctor and confirmed they were insect bites. Prices/surcharges - I understand that check-in was at 4 p.m., but due to the circumstances we were in, we needed to arrive earlier, and we thought there wouldn't have been a problem to check in slightly earlier. The predicament we were in was having a car filled to maximum capacity with luggage and people. We needed to arrive at the lodge just in time to drop off our luggage as well as myself and my children staying behind so my Partner could drive all the way to Newquay which is a 47 minute drive, to make it on time to pick up his Mother and Sister from the bus station as they were arriving by coach.

Excellent stay for 3 adults and 3 young children, fully equipped, spacious bedrooms and living space, beds are incredibly comfy. Great outdoor space and modern decor throughout, lovely cosy feel. Would 100% return and recommend.

It’s not that we didn’t like but we just think a more powerful shower would really make this place faultless.
