Host & Stay - Endeavour Sails

Nice and clean, very well equipped. Tastefully decorated, bed really comfortable, would stay there again but perhaps out of season.

Parking was an issue and an inconvenience, walk into Whitby was ok, very hilly so walk back was a challenge. No where in walking distance to buy provisions. Shower room really small and unable to lock the bathroom door. Wasn't keen on film on windows but understand why it was done.

The apartment is lovely, comfortable and stylishly appointed. Whitby is a wonderful town.

We pride ourselves on being good guests and unfortunately we found the communication with Host & Stay poor and the £25 damage insurance excessive and we would not rent another one of their properties again.

I found the keys accessibility really easy.

The fact that the flat was called Endeavour Sails, this is what we looked for from the street. When in actual fact the property was called Prospect Villa. We added an extra hour to our search to find the correct property. We had to ring the out of hours service and leave a message so again we had to wait. When the guy rang back he said I will send you the email with all of the details which we had not received earlier!!!! Not good. The shower head moves when you put the water on and the doors do not close thoroughly, so the water goes on the floor causing a potential slip hazard. The kitchen taps move when you turn them on and off. The non refundable damage insurance is a cheat as we have never had our money non refundable. Someone finds it funny to through stones at the bedroom window in the early hours causing lack of sleep. The stomping above our heads woke us up at 7am both mornings after a 4am disturbance with the window??

The flat was comfortable, tidy and clean.

We were under the impression that parking was available at the flat. Unfortunately, parking was only available down the hill, if you were lucky. As the windows at front and back were masked out, you could not see out of the windows, and we were unable to open the front ones for fresh air. You need to be aware that the shower cubicle was very small.

It was beautiful comfortable and just right to re charge our batteries.

No off street parking

The property was a the picture showed. So cosy,quiet and homely and had the WOW factor.

It was a pity that there wasn’t an outdoor space that one could use. This would have been wonderful considering we had fabulous weather. The outside was a bit drab BUT superseded itself once we stepped inside!

The apartment was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and only a ten minute walk to the harbour, bus and train station. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Check in was seamless thanks to the emails we received from the host telling us how to access the property and as suggested by them, we parked about 5 minutes away, leaving the car there for the length of our stay. We are looking forward to returning to the property at some point in the future.
