Peaceful Getaway - Free Parking, Short Drive to Stamford

This is a wonderful old barn that has been renovated. It’s small but perfect for two people. We had great weather so it was also nice to sit outside. There’s a great pub next-door and it’s a very pretty village.

Please note the Wi-Fi is very patchy. The local say it’s the thickness of the walls but If you’re planning on working and you don’t have good cellular coverage it’s going to be difficult.

The location is good and it's also quite private. The pub next door is very handy.

Cleanliness needs attention. The WIFI is all but useless and the bathroom heater didn't work. The TV is above the bed's headboard which makes watching TV in bed all but impossible.

Location

The fact that despite the hosts knowing what time we were due to arrive on a late cold December afternoon, there was no heating on, it was absolutely freezing. This was after struggling across a garden in total darkness to find our way in, then trying to work out how to operate the heating system (with no instructions & no Internet connection). The only heating is underfloor heating - is not across the whole floor, therefore freezing parts of rooms. No wardrobe to hang clothes/coats (not ideal in winter). Suggest not for winter rental, ideally for summer.

The property was easy to find, secluded enough to provide privacy, but close enough to town to make shopping etc. easy. Friendly neighbours and beautiful interior. Small, but homely (good for 2 people). Free parking and WiFi made the stay easier. One of the best parts was the app! It was so informative, easy to follow and helped throughout our stay (especially upon arrival!).
