Devon Surf . Inn - Hiriketiya

The family that run this place are so kind and helpful in every way. They go out of their way to help. They've created an amazing place with a homely and warm atmosphere we loved it so much here we extended our stay. They cooked us a delicious traditional breakfast every day that sets you up for the entire day as there's so much, and it's the most tasty food as 'Mum' cooked it! They organised a scooter for us at a very reasonable price almost instantly so we could go and see the temple and other beaches that are a short drive away. They also have a taxi service and dropped us off at our next destination. We would recommend this place to everyone. If you don't stay here you are missing out!!! Best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka and will be back! Oh and only a ten minute walk away from the beach so perfect location too! We also saw so much wildlife by sitting on the balcony including wild monkeys, we can't recommend this place enough!

There was honestly nothing that we didn't like. We loved it so much we extended our stay. We felt so at home here.

The room was really nice and modern and the location was great to get quickly to the Hiriketiya Beach (10 min). We had an awesome breakfast which they personalized due to certain intolerances.

We loved our stay at Devon Surf! The host are so kind and very helpful. It’s a new building and very clean and comfortable. He was always making sure we had everything we needed and even drove us to Colombo for our flight! I highly recommend staying here.

Calling this a “con” is a big stretch, but it’s just a little bit outside of the centre. 10-15 minute walk to the beach/town. For how great everything else was it is not an issue at all!

Everything. Hosts were amazing and went above and beyond with everything. Room and bathroom were brand new and cleaned to a very high standard. Bed was super comfy. A short walk to the beach and lots of restaurants close by. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts let me try various different Sri Lankan foods. I felt at home here :) if you visit Dikwella/Hiriketiya then you need to stay here!

Weird bath, had to walk down hall to get to. Location was kind of far away, buses on highway honking air horns. It's on main highway. Twisted foot on 4" step down in night no light can't see step, just had foot feeling good.

Property is brand new and all of the finishes are high quality! You can tell they had great attention to detail when they built the place. The room and bed were very comfortable, with an amazing shower and spacious bathroom. A/C works great, and there was no need for a mosquito net because we did not see any mosquitos in the room. The owners are very kind and caring. They prepared a different delicious breakfast for us every day. They also have scooters to rent for a good price. Overall one of the best stays we have had in Sri Lanka.

Only downside is the location is a bit of a walk to the beach. However, it’s not a bad, and you are close to the street with restaurants if you want to go for a quick dinner.

The family was very kind and helpfull. Very clean and modern room with air conditioning. Very good location, you can walk to the Hiriketiya beach and nice restaurants. We also had a Sri lanka breakfast by family. Come and try this beatiful, clean and super nice hotel!
