Host & Stay - Arundel Cottage

Really lovely property, comfortable with everything you might need. The beds were amazing, great sleep

If i had to nit pick, the sofas not very comfortable but we were out all day so not a problem, and the loft room exceptionally hot!

Fabulous location only a ten minute walk into the centre of Whitby. Very comfortable property with two separate bathrooms which were very clean. Two dedicated parking spaces outside the property.

The property is let down by whoever is responsible for the cleaning of the property. When we arrived there were still crumbs on the kitchen floor and the sink was dirty. Areas were heavily covered in dust and clearly not been cleaned in months. The back yard was covered in lumps of dirt and moss which had to be swept before we could use it. The back yard is a small space so the fact that there is a step ladder left in there is not helpful. We were a party of 4 adults but the property could accommodate 6 so very disappointed that we were only left 1 tea towel and 2 dishwasher tablets for a 4 day stay.The lack of these little touches and attention to detail lets the property down

We have stayed here before, the house has everything that you need. Plenty of space, two parking places which is brilliant for Whitby. Kitchen is lovely, bathrooms are both great and clean. Beds are comfortable and the house is generally clean and lovely.

There is nothing I didn’t like, we love this house.

Great location. Bright, clean and well equipped. A lovely property which we would be happy to return to.

Location. Warm and cosy. All amenities covered. Ideal for a couple or small family. Parking space great for centre of whitby. Very close to centre. Front gated area ideal for dogs. Alot of space upstairs for 6 people.

Living room fine for 2 adults or with small children, although partner commented that you can't lie down on the sofas. Think 6 adults would struggle downstairs. Master bedroom trouble with aerial. Think connection loose where the lead goes into the wall. Didn't make use of the dining room - it's a shame you can't knock through to make a living/ dining area.

Miscommunication with the booking agency. We were told we could park on the drive before checking but when we arrived in the afternoon the cleaners also arrived and rang host and stay to say we had parked early and we were informed we had to move the car immediately even though there was sufficient space for two cars. We then spent the next hour having to prove that we had been granted permission. This was not a good start to our short stay. Also the 4pm check-in and 10am check out doesn't make good value for money, £235 for 18 hours.
