Château by the Sea - Hotel style 3 bed optional hot tub

Good location, hot tub great.

Need bigger towels, no coffee table in living room and kitchen could be a little better equipped.

The house is only a couple of minutes' walk to Newbiggins beach, which I really enjoyed walking my dog every day, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. There is also a morisons express just across the road, which is really handy for anything you need. The host is very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately we had serval issues 😕 on arrival to the house, Also it didn't have a wellcome pack which I always had with properties and prefer a book to look at but it's all on line, Unfortunately it doesn't have a dishwasher as well. It sadness me to say this but was dispointing as there is alot of issues that need addressing and I know will be addressed as the host was brilliant in reasuring that would be the case, it doesn't help us but good to know that for future guests all the issues will be sorted.

The whole vacation. Especially the hot tub which we all enjoyed.

The location was handy, easily walkable to Newbiggin centre. Nice clean, comfortable beds. Nice towels. The 'Chateau by the Sea' sign made my stepmother laugh like a drain (because she found it hilarious they call it a chateau) that was a highlight for me. Coffee bar, coffee maker and outside seating area were good touches.

Sofas really uncomfortable to sit on, shiny tiled bathroom floor dangerously slippy. Really disappointing to have to pay £20 extra for the hot tub, as this was the main selling point shown in the first four photos on the listing but no photos of the outside which would show a non-descript terrace house in a not great area. The title of the listing should not read "with Hot Tub" when it isn't included. The threshold is a mess (see pic). More storage space would be useful. Back patio had weeds growing through. Better cleaning would have found the dog hairs under the beanbags. Totally underwhelmed by the faux designer set-dressing and lack of practical, common sense used in this as a place to stay. Too much 'style' over substance. I.e. 4 teaspoons for 6 people, a pouffe with a small tray on it, strategically placed designer label books etc, but nowhere to put your coffee mug. Mix and match crockery. Sorry to be picky but its not my kind of thing. We paid top dollar for this, 50% more than a similar terraced house closeby, then extra for the hot tub. Its overly pretentious and it really isn't as good as it purports to be in my opinion.

The house was beautiful, honestly couldn't fault it. You could tell time and effort was put into all the furniture and decorations.

Nothing the property had everything we could need.
