Lord Galloway 35 with Hot Tub

The lodge was very comfortable and well laid out. The area around it was well maintained. The staff looking after the hot tub were very discreet.

The dishwasher was loose. The kitchen knives weren’t very sharp which could be due to the glass chopping board. I understand the glass chopping board could be for hygiene reasons but we did find it difficult to use with blunt knives. The lamp in the sitting area gave quite a harsh light, maybe a warm effect bulb might help. We had a third car in our party but weren’t able to park in the car park at reception (as requested in your information) because it was full.

Really good layout and size, felt private

It could have been cleaner, we found some dog kibble (we don’t have a dog) around on the floor a long with a bobble and some other bits. Not a massive deal but not ideal. Also, this could have been chance on the days we were there (Monday-Thursday) but there was someone mowing the grass in the mornings which definitely affected the peacefulness. I understand this needs done but it felt like there was always someone about nearby while you were trying to relax.
