Heart of Detroit Gem! 2BR Apt

Very clean, lots of space, all required tools in kitchen, modern bathroom and located in downtown. The Detroit People Mover is also available in walking distance, so this is a perfect place to visit Detroit!

This is the most perfectly placed condo we’ve stayed at. Seriously close to everything. The place has all you need and then some. Comfortable and clean.

Nothing. Elevator is now working well and the instructions for the check in are super clear.

Convenient to walk to the Fillmore and restaurant for a concert.

It was clean and had what you needed. Location was amazing- right downtown and parking literally across the street. Comfy living area and bed was so good! We slept so well after a night out in Detroit!

Elevator was a gamble- if you are out of shape, there’s a risk you may have to do stairs. BUT I think This should be added, you are staying in an old, historic building with original stuff still there. You have to expect that.

The location of this property is fantastic. You can walk to Ford Field & Comerica Park as well as many dining & nightlight options. The unit itself is nice. Clean, 2 comfy beds, ample kitchen & bath facilities. The communication with mgr/owner is easy & receives a prompt response. This is a new rental & could use a few overlooked items such as a wine key & plunger but for the price point, its a definite winner. The location more than makes up for some small overlooked new rental kinks. Overall, well worth the money.

The only two reasons a 10 rating wasnt given was due to the elevator & AC. The elevator wasn't working (unit is on 9th floor). It is in the midst of being repaired. This is completely out of the owners hands. Owner informed us 2 days prior to our arrival when he learned it wouldn't be repaired in time. He offered us a free cancelation or discount if we proceeded due to the circumstances. This is exactly what a good owner does in this type of situation. It was appreciated. We're 50 so the 9 flights of stairs were a bit of a challenge w luggage & all, but we managed. The location more than made up for it. I think the AC UNIT is struggling. They are in room wall units (like they have in much of Hawaii & Costa Rica). These type of units typically work well but the units here struggled. Initially i thought they werent operating bc of a red blinking light & error code but mgr immediately responded with the unit diagnostics reading which had nothing to do with operation if unit. It turned out they were blowing air, just not cold air. It may be a simple need more coolant/freon fix. We let it run while we were gone all day thinking it may cool but it did not. We returned late that night & didn't want to bother mgr bc it was cool enough that we were able to open windows at night. The city noise becomes a factor when you do that but we were fine with it. Despite elevator & AC, we would choose to rent again simply based on value & prime location.
