Luxe 1BR, Ngong Road, Nairobi

My husband and I stayed 7 and a half weeks and could have definitely stayed longer. The host and owner, Gibson was quite possibly the most helpful an accommodating host we have ever encountered. He was always available and willing to help. Naivasha Road in Kawangware is a bustling neighbourhood but the moment we stepped inside we felt completely relaxed and at home. The Queen bed and pillows were very comfortable and room spacious with ample cupboard space. The shower was hot and fridge cold. We were grateful for the filtered water, wifi, incredible selection of movies on his big TV, fully equipped kitchen and super comfy lounges. The whole apartment was the perfect space for 2 people for any length of stay. We even felt it was bigger and better than the pictures showed. Located on the sixth floor, the view over the neighbourhood was vast. It was very convenient, only a 20min walk to the popular shopping centre, Junction, that has everything you could possibly need including a very well stocked and competitively priced supermarket, Carrefour. Yes there were matatus and a church located downstairs, but with their double paned windows and our ear plugs, we slept soundly. We always felt safe. There were several security guards at the front gate all the time. They were forever polite, friendly and professional. We left on a couple if occasions to visit the Maasai Mara and they monitored our comings and goings. There was a lovely lady who cleaned once a week, changed our bedding and gave us fresh towels. We spent weeks searching for the right place and finally decided on here. It was located between a shopping centre and a small hospital we knew. We couldn't be happier with our decision. This perfect little piece of paradise was very comfortable with all the mod cons you would expect. When we come back to Kenya we would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks Gibson!!

There wasn't a washing machine but everything else was excellent. There was laundry detergent and washing buckets in the hall cupboard, and the whole rooftop area with clothes lines to hang your clothes safely.

The host was always attentive. Ready to assist when there was a need. Living room was nice and spacious. Very well decorated. A good place to come to after a long day.

Coming from a quiet place into Nairobi was a challenge. There was noise from matatus late at night and very early. Maybe this is city life?

The picture and the facilities are all accurate to a T. Every amenity listed exists, in good condition with no faults. Gibson is an excellent host, responsive to calls and text messages, with helpful advice on how to move and what to do when around his location. Besides that, the check-in was fast and seamless, with ample and secure parking space.. Zero complaints on the service provided
