Smokey Mountain Retreat, new hot tub, game room, sleeps 8!

It was very nice clean and cozy ! We felt very comfortable there as a family of 7 with our kids on vacation it was very private and secluded but close enough for safety to others.

hot tub does not heat up at all it got to 85 that's all that was the while reason I rented this cabin

The house is well maintained. It was mostly clean when we arrived aside from a few sticky spots in the floor in the kitchen and upstairs in the common area. The beds are comfortable, and we loved the pillows. If you're looking for a quiet get away, this is a very secluded area. It's closer to Cosby than downtown Gatlinburg, but we didn't mind to 20(ish) minute drive. It was decorated nicely and stocked with what we needed as far as coffee mugs, dishes, etc. The hot tub was clean and in working order. There were extra towels down stairs for the hot tub. The main TV was logged in to some streaming services so we didn't have to worry about logging into our own which was nice.

We took the back way based on past reviews, stating it was accessible by SUV. It was, but it was very rough, so we only did it once. Though the rental owner is not at fault for this, that path was littered with trash from the other homes (mattresses, tires, furniture, etc.), which made us feel a little uneasy. We never found the remote to the master bedroom TV and there was no bedding on the pull out sofa. We searched every drawer and cabinet but never found sheets to go on it.

Owner is SO rude and disrespectful! Had me sign a contract for essentials for $100 and it was refundable. The "essentials" for you to use are $5 worth of stuff. I bought my own things and didn't use them and now they stole my money and won't give it back because "I left late!" That wasn't part of the contract. The blankets for you to use are little motel 6 cheap blankets and I had to run to the Walmart before they closed to buy us all blankets. Remote in the second bedroom was broke, master bedroom didn't even have a remote, the remotes batteries didn't even work. Had a remote there with no back and one battery. Bugs all over the place! Ashtrays outside full of cigarette butts! We cleaned the place spotless! Took all the trash out, stripped the beds, did all the dishes, and I have a witness! The maintenance man who came and fixed the giant hole in the ceiling! I dont recommend staying here because you'll just get ripped off by a rude and arrogant jerk!

We went to spent a birthday for our close friend, we had an amazing time at the cabin, only 25 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, perfect getaway!
