Trinity View by Tŷ SA - Beautiful 5 bed in Newport

The pictures are photos shopped, facilities advertised at the time of booking did not exist. One of our worst holiday experience with booking.com

I rarely write reviews, but our experience with Tŷ SA was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. We booked a property through Booking.com, trusting that the advertised amenities — including free *Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, tumble dryer, and comfortable family accommodation *— would match the high price we paid. What we encountered was the complete opposite: • *Non-functional Wi-Fi* provided through a weak mobile hotspot • *Unusable television* and zero streaming access • *Mould* in the bathrooms, unclean furniture, and rubbish left in the garden • Unsafe features like algae-covered steps and unstable blinds • Only one filthy hairdryer for 8 guests in a 5-bedroom house • *Misleading photos *that do not represent the property’s actual condition Worse still was the host’s attitude. Our initial concerns were dismissed during a phone call with their team, and later ignored. While we provided detailed emails, photos, and videos — sent on day one — the host has continued to deny all issues, and instead tried to shift blame by *making false and baseless accusations *about our conduct. We were even told we could leave mid-stay (with four young children!) but wouldn’t receive a refund. The lack of accountability, the unprofessionalism, and the *outright dishonesty* from Tŷ SA are shocking. This was supposed to be a special family trip — the first time we’d all come together in 14 years — and it was completely ruined by the poor condition of this property and the treatment we received. *If you’re considering booking with Tŷ SA, don’t*. Their listings are misleading, their service is dismissive, and their response to valid concerns is to gaslight and accuse. We’ve raised a formal complaint with Booking.com and submitted all evidence. Until Tŷ SA improves its standards and starts treating guests with basic respect, they should not be allowed to manage holiday homes — let alone advertise them as “luxury” accommodations.

The property was spacious and comfortably accommodated everyone. Surprisingly, the pictures on the website don’t do it justice, as it is far more beautiful in person. The view from the balcony and bedrooms was absolutely stunning.

The property had several cleanliness issues. The one of the toilet was not properly cleaned, with black stains on the seat and lid. Cobwebs were visible around the house, and loose screws were left on the floors, posing a safety hazard. Upon arrival, the bins were already full and overflowing, and we even saw a rat eating from them. Additionally, there was no cutlery in the house, even though the email stated it would be in a small drawer near the oven upon checking, the drawer was empty. On the last day, after tidying up, we had to take some of our rubbish with us. Fortunately, we encountered the cleaners and informed them about the bin situation. They advised us to leave the rubbish outside.

Location easy to get to, better than being in Newport but easy to get there when you want to. Nice clean property, good views. Parking was easy

There was some confusion over the code to the keysafe, but didn’t take too long to sort out. There was a big pile of rubbish outside the property left by the cleaners or previous tenants. The neighbours were complaining about it as it was being attacked by the seagulls and full of maggots. Management company not much help.

Superb house. Used as a corporate house for 3 nights for a medical convention at the ICC. Location is excellent, property is spotless, beds comfortable, there wasn’t anything we could fault as a group. We are all used to corporate hotels and this was far superior. As a business we are aiming to move our future corporate bookings to these kind of properties. Great for team development too being and working together in the house rather than isolated in hotel rooms and stuck in bars. Really great experience and can’t recommended the property enough.
