Malone Crescent Apartment

The keys were easy enough to get from the box. The difficulty was that this property emailed looking for an ID on the day of the stay. With international access, I had difficulty corresponding with them to get the details.

The unit was fine but there was a convenience store on the corner that attracted rough clientele. It also led to bottles and trash near the entrance.

Great property which was perfect for our stay. Short walk from Ulster museum and botanic gardens. Easy walk in to centre or could bus it. Beds were v comfy and loads of room in the accommodation - en-suite in one bedroom, another bedroom and separate bathroom, plus kitchen/lounge/diner at the front. It was also nice that all the essentials were supplied including cleaning products, soap, tea & coffee. There is some road noise but wasn’t noisy with bars etc.

Bedrooms and bathroom were quite small and decor was cheap/tired. Seemed quite expensive for what it was.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had underfloor heating. Good location.

The property was filthy dirty, it had clearly not been cleaned through after previous guests, only bedding changed. The towels were all marked ( I wouldn’t even use them to clean my floors). The fridge was absolutely disgusting with old food residue and not sure what else, the kettle had all food residue over it. When you shut the doors it was full of cob webs and thick dust, Room fire doors would not stay shut, showers were dirty and had hair and black stuff in the tray, the carpets were threadbare, it smelt damp, it was mouldy , the door grips were unsafe as the screws were sticking out. We were not expecting the Ritz but I was expecting a clean and good state of repair apartment. I did message the manager and clean towels were brought the next day but although I had raised the issues with her she later told me it was my fault as I should have had ask the cleaner to come in and clean. However, it was 9 am and I was with two 18 year olds that had been out for their birthday! We definitely no snobs , but unless you are happy to stay in a very dirty and in poor condition student type apartment , I would DEFINITELY STAY AWAY!!!! I have more pics as these do not do it justice!!!!

It was in a great location, very comfortable and nicely decorated and the host and cleaner were lovely to deal with. It had a well stocked kitchen and had everything we needed for our stay. Any problems we had were fixed quickly and with no fuss at all.

When we arrived the property hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guests but it was sorted really quickly and everything was perfect from then on.

Access to city centre, all within walking distance

Difficult to gain entry as keypad sensitive to cold and wet conditions. Will work if hands are warm and dry, and the key pad is dry too

Complete amenities

It’s a great place to stay. Just around the corner from where tour buses pick up. Only thing I could think of improvement was better towels and mats for the bathroom floor
