"Oct 2025 Stay"

6.0

Exterior of cabin was appealing. Pretty well equipped (needs a microwave). Everything on the inside worked. Location was quiet, and pleasant. Communication was easy.

Carpet is disgusting (stained and very old). Host speaks of cleanliness, but inside needs attention. (Under stove, and under carpets). Our dogs went crazy in the house identifying many food remnants, etc. Half full orange juice container, and half full coke bottle was in the frig. Host needs to copy ad from AirBNB site where all things like extra costs that most people will want to know are easily seen. We did not know about the pet fees as the specifics were embedded in an email that was very wordy. Pet fees are high based on cabin furnishings values. Multiple security cameras outside that record audio, and video. As a security minded person I understand their value, but consideration should be given to turning them off when guests are present for privacy. I did feel like we were under surveillance to an extent. Drive up the mountain was a 5 mile roundtrip. We experienced significant rain, and had a 4wd vehicle, but was a bit hairy in some areas.

"Birthday weekend enjoying the mountains, hike to hot springs, and witnessing the elk rut in the caldera"

9.0

Cozy, awesome retro vibe. Loved having coffee on the front porch swing, watching the sun come up over the mountains. Was able to find property (in the dark!) with iPhone maps with no problem, even though cell service cuts out. Good instructions and links, good communication with owners.

Nothing, but when it’s time for improvements, carpet would be at the top of our list

"I enjoyed it very much."

It was a comfortable quiet retreat

Haha. A real coffee maker, but I managed with the percolator.
