Dar Kbira est un véritable havre de paix. Nous avons été accueillis par Faten, qui restera sans aucun doute notre plus belle rencontre de ce voyage. La chambre était incroyable : spacieuse, impeccable et décorée avec beaucoup de goût, à l’image de toute la maison d’hôtes, d’une propreté irréprochable. Les petits déjeuners étaient un vrai bonheur : différents chaque jour, variés et surtout délicieux. L’emplacement est idéal selon nous : au calme, tout en étant proche de tout. Une adresse précieuse que nous recommandons les yeux fermés, et où nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

Dar Kbira is a beautifully restored old Tunisian mansion that is located in a prime position in Sidi Bou Said, a three minute walk from the busy main street, yet delightfully separated from the hustle and bustle of the village centre. The views from the hotel’s huge terrace are mind blowing. Selima, one of the owners and Fatel, the manager are attentive to their guests and ensure that their clients are very well taken care of. They are very helpful to new comers and extremely caring with their guests who may need more help. The rooms are elegantly fitted out with tasteful furnishings , comfortable beds and wonderful art. Our room consisted of a bedroom with views out to the terrace, a sitting room with a sofa and a desk, a dressing room with lots of space for your clothes and bags, and a delightfully modern bathroom. We spent a week there during a period of some very bad winter storms, and although we were forced to spend a lot of time in our nice warm room, it was a pleasure to be there. The glassed in central courtyard with its dramatic over-arching orange tree lit up at night with fairy lights, is the most beautiful place to be, and completely magical at night; the wonderful and extensive breakfast is served in there, and we were lucky enough to be there for a guest dinner, their first, that was a huge success. We would very happily return to Dar Kbira whenever we return to Sidi Bou Said, it is truly one of the most charming small hotels we have ever stayed in. If you are lucky enough to spend time with Selima and Fatel, I am sure you will feel the same.

Accueil attentionné: assiette de fruits et citronnade maison à notre arrivée. Emplacement perché idéal, sur les hauteurs de Sidi. Au coeur du village pittoresque. Vue imprenable. Très belle lumière, décoration soignée, un mélange de moderne et d ancien, details architecturaux respectés. Literie et serviettes de douche de belle qualité. Un vrai cocon de douceur. Petit dej copieux. Nous faisons et ferons de la pub à nos amis!

Everything. We received personal attention from the owner Selima. She is very accommodating. The property is exquisite Loved the decor. Homely atmosphere. Super clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was an experience. Property very well located.

We had a wonderful stay. Everyone was so incredibly nice and made life very comfortable for us. The breakfast was amazing, the view fantastic. We are immensely grateful to everyone.
