'Haumoana' in Olde Beach.

Everything was so easy, all instructions received well before our visit. We did not sight the host and did not need to contact for anything. A lovely comfortable and charming cottage.

Studio was quite quirky with comfortable facilities. Shame only one night stay. Would have liked longer to enjoy close vicinity to beach and to sit in peaceful garden space.

From the outside, there is no indication of the cosy, beautifully decorated and furnished cottage that awaits when you open the door. We loved the super comfy bed with lovely bed linens and the pretty bathroom - great shower and towels. The kitchenette had every thing we needed (and would have needed for a longer stay). The decor was eclectic and made the space cosy and interesting. It sits in a private tropical courtyard which came complete with weber BBQ, outdoor table and chairs and Cape Cod chairs for relaxing and watching the stars. Thank you Charles and Helen for the thoughtful extra touches, including the relish and honey from your property, the garden flares and the beach towels! The location was super, with a great fish and chip shop and bakery just around the corner and a few minutes walk to stunning Waikanae Beach with its buzzy cafes. It is also well sited if you are heading to/from the Interislander Ferry and don't want to stay in Wellington.

It was perfect. Our one regret was that we were only there for one night and had to leave very early to catch the Interislander ferry.

Loved everything! Such a fabulous little Bach. It’s small but roomy. Great bathroom. Everything you need or think of is there. Great hosts; great place. Sad we didn’t meet Bonnie (the family doggy) but all was lovely.

Communication with owners was great. Very comprehensive and useful. Cute little outdoor area to sit in and so close to the beach - just a 6 minute stroll. Comfy inside with lovely cane lounge chairs and a foldout dining table. Huge bed is wonderful with gorgeous comfy linen and accessories. Cafes near the beach were lovely, but the bakery and takeaway just up the road were fabulous.Lots of kitchen implements - nothing has been left out.

Nothing really. It was all good. Microwave is good to have. Maybe a simple hot plate in the kitchen would be handy, although the bbq outside was amble cooking facilities.
