Snowshoe Mountain Retreat! Ski in and Out!

I traveled to the area to take my 10-year-old grandson on the Greenbriar Express train ride in Cass. The Snowshoe location was relatively close. The apartment was everything it was advertised. Clean, comfortable, safe area, interesting location, with many amenities. While I didn't necessarily take advantage of everything available, there was a complete kitchen, including dishwasher, dishes, microwave, electric range, full size refrigerator/freezer, coffee makers, toaster, well stocked pots/pans/assorted kitchen gadgets, etc. Full information was provided regarding check-in, and went smoothly.

Nothing to do with the unit itself, and something well beyond the control of the owner, Snowshoe chanced to be having a huge off-road motorcycle race the same time I booked. There was also a big convention of prosecutors going on at the same time. Every parking lot and all along the road was filled with pickup trucks and huge camper vans and vendor tents and events, so ended up having to park at Top of the World (about a mile away), but there was a shuttle service running. The Snowshoe staff extremely courteous and helpful in getting around the chaos. But, again, this was a fluke of timing for other events and nothing to do with the unit owners. I've never been snow skiing, but would like to return sometime in winter to see how the area operates in season (I rented the unit third week of June).
