Casa del Norte - quiet, cozy & fantastic location!

First of all, the communication from the host was outstanding, from right after the time I made my booking (which was several weeks in advance). It was easy to communicate with him and he was very generous in making suggestions for different places to see, eat and drink during my stay. On the day, the directions and how to get into the property comms were spot on. Our host also provided us with a "Pintxos Tour" map that he had created - do yourself a favour and go to the places on that list! The apartment is lovely and authentic. There are a couple of little juliet balconies with doors and shutters so you can let in some air on those hot days (and it's sea air! The beach is visible from the window.) The bed and the sofabed are comfortable. There is a kitchen and a fridge which is useful if you want to store some drinks or make your own breakfast or tea and coffee. We were 3 people - a couple and 1 other person, so the main bed plus sofabed were a draw for us. It's not a large space for 3 travellers but it is enough, and the atmosphere and proximity to the Old Town more than made up for it. The bathroom and shower are small, but clean and absolutely serviceable, and the size is to be expected in these traditional buildings. The lift is also one of those tiny ones, but that's fine - you only need the lift when you are bringing up your luggage. San Sebastian itself was wonderful and I will definitely return. The food, oh, the food!!! Pintxos hour(s), and going around the bars where it's shoulder to shoulder, and tasting the Basque culinary morsels is something that must be experienced to be believed. The shopping is also good. We saw a wonderful sunset from Monte Urgull at our host's recommendation. Highly recommended!

The only thing I didn't like is that I did not book more than a few nights here. I will definitely have to come back.

Great size, has everything you need. Perfect location near the bars but not right in the busy area. Host was fantastic and gave us loads of great tips.

We were two and it worked perfectly. I would say as four it might be a bit odd because the main living room has the sofa bed, and then there’s a small other living room with a tv. It would be better if the small room was made into the second bedroom but I’m guessing a double bed wouldn’t fit well which is why they haven’t done that. One recommendation- please fix the blinds so they can opened and closed. It would have been nice to be open the blinds.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming apartment! From the start, everything was easy and smooth — the access instructions were clear, and we could get settled in right away. The location is absolutely top: within walking distance to all the main spots, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. Our host was super friendly, full of lovely local recommendations, and always easy to reach if we had any questions. That really made us feel welcome. The apartment itself was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed. It has a slightly vintage feel, which actually added to its charm and suited the atmosphere of the area perfectly. We were even working remotely during part of our stay, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly — a real plus! All in all, we truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, authentic stay in a great location. Thank you for everything!

Excellent location, you are super close to amazing restaurants, shopping and all the attractions of old town. Additionally, the street is very quiet so it's a perfect combination for relaxation and sightseeing. Jens was very helpful, he sent me a bunch of suggestions for dinning out, where to park, what to see, etc. He really goes the extra mile for his guests. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Excellent apartment in a great location. Clean, well furnished and comfortable with all the facilities needed and a few extra. The check-in and communication were easy. Fir me the highlight was the location. Near the beach and in the old town but quiet and with natural light. Superb
