Our family of 4 enjoyed the space after being crammed in a Tokyo hotel room. The projector was also a bonus for watching movies as well as the relaxing jacuzzi. Host was helpful. We arrived in Hakone too early for check in but he let us leave our luggage in the accommodation.

A bit of a musty smell.

This property was so disappointing and I felt bad for my travel companions because l had chosen it. The photos make it look way better than it is. House clearly has a water ingress/mould issue evident by the strong musky smell, ceiling fans did not work, projector TV broken, laundry dryer broken - all despite these amenities being listed in the property listing! The property is hard and confusing to find. The spa area did not even have one single light!! We couldn’t use it at night. The fly screens on windows had holes which let mosquitos in. We wanted some fresh air to come in due to the extreme musky scent. Property felt gross - The beds felt grimy and unfresh. I found hairs on my pillow upon entry that were not mine.. One bedroom was also used to store heaps of bedding on the floor which significantly limited the space. One of the toilets had a clump of hair and toilet paper in it upon entry!!!

The kitchen was spacious, there was a TV, toiletries were provided nicely.

There were cockroaches in the kitchen/living room area, and some ants in the double bedroom.
